Trimble and K-Tec Earthmovers introduce Trimble ready factory option for Scrapers

Trimble and K-Tec Earthmovers Inc have announced the introduction of a Trimble ready factory option for K-Tec Scrapers.

Scrapers that ship from the factory are now ready to install the Trimble GCS900 2D or 3D Grade Control System, which can significantly reduce the cost for the contractor. The Trimble Ready K-Tec Scraper includes an enhanced joystick, a computer software upgrade, wiring harnesses and brackets, allowing a more seamless installation.

The announcement was made at ConExpo 2017, one of the world’s largest international exhibitions for the construction industry.

“K-Tec Earthmovers is pleased to announce that Trimble Ready scrapers are now available for our customers to efficiently perform precision excavation and finish grading,” said Russ Goossen, CEO for K-Tec Earthmovers Inc. “This new option makes the installation of Trimble GCS900 more integrated and less costly for contractors.”

“The introduction of a Trimble Ready option for a K-Tec scraper further reinforces our commitment to serve equipment manufacturers and their customers with innovative construction technology,” said Cloyce Newton, business area manager for Trimble OEM Solutions, Civil Engineering and Construction Division. “Now it’s less expensive and faster to install Trimble technology, so K-Tec customers can realize an even quicker return on their technology investment.”

K-Tec manufactures pull-pan ejector earthmoving scrapers and accessories for the construction, mining, and agriculture industries. K-Tec’s high-capacity, minimal maintenance, lightweight, and durable scrapers are proven to work in topsoil, clay, sand, gypsum rock, and coal applications. K-Tec scrapers are pulled by tractors or articulated dump trucks, with capacity ranges from 28-63 cubic yards pulled. This results in the largest scrapers in the marketplace, allowing for greater production requiring fewer cycles per day. K-Tec Earthmovers, an ISO 9001:2008 certified company, stands behind the quality and workmanship of its scrapers with an industry-leading three-year structural warranty.
