BAM celebrates great safety performance at Museum of the Future in Dubai

BAM employees are celebrating two million hours worked lost time injury free at the building site for the Museum of the Future in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. This achievement is thanks to the professionalism and continuous commitment from those on the project, who have worked tirelessly to ensure the site remains harm free.

BAM International bv, the operating company of Royal BAM Group active outside Europe, expects to deliver the iconic Museum of the Future to Meraas Holding by mid-2019. BAM International is supported on this project by BAM Ireland.

The Museum of the Future is designed by Killa Design and will be built in part using 3D printing technologies, and will change over time to test and reflect the latest advancements in various fields.

The Museum of the Future is a unique initiative by HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum that explores the future of science, technology and innovation and will be located near the Burj Khalifa. In addition to becoming a major tourist destination, the Museum will offer advanced courses and specialised workshops, as well as public talks and events. It is intended to offer a platform to demonstrate and test the latest inventions and prototypes from up and coming start-ups and the world’s technology giants. It will also host innovation facilities and design studios with universities, companies and research partners.

BAM was responsible for iconic structures such as the Co-operative Group Headquarters in Manchester, United Kingdom, the Antwerp Port House in Belgium, the Al Bidda tower in Doha, Qatar, and Ibn Battuta Gate in Dubai, UAE. BAM Ireland is currently delivering the largest children’s hospital in Europe, at Dublin.
