Freetech Patching Vehicle at the core of Jiangsu Expressway Ltd’s road maintenance

China’s first Freetech Patching Vehicle was introduced in 1998 by Jiangsu Expressway Ltd, who have been using eleven Freetech Patching Vehicles and three Freetech Maintenance Vehicles.

Recently, Jiangsu Expressway purchased two new PM500 Patching Vehicles to replace the older Freetech PM400 Patching Vehicles, which after 16 years of service are set for a well-earned retirement.

State-of-the-art technology earns loyalty

According to Mr. Guo, Assistance Engineering Manager of Jiangsu Expressway Ltd “Quality and speed of repair are the main reasons for using Freetech Patching Vehicle.”

“Freetech Patching Vehicle has two core competences: the first is the intermittent heating panel, which overcomes the problem of asphalt aging under heating; the second is the rotary hopper that can keep the hot mix high in temperature, even in Winter,” Mr. Guo pointed out. “These two specialties fulfill the requirements of routine maintenance of expressways.”

Around the Clock Service and Customized Training

Good customer service is another hallmark of Freetech core competences. In the 16 years their equipment has been in service, Freetech have tracked the conditions of all the Patching Vehicle used by Jiangsu Expressway Ltd. The machines were regularly checked, and upgraded where necessary.

Freetech experienced trainers, trained the operators on the two new PM500 Patching Vehicles. In the three days of training, operators learned the theory, and hands-on operation, to add more value to the routine maintenance of their new units to guarantee up-time and superior productivity.
