BooBoo Plant Hire spreads the sunshine with Solar Trailer Lighting Fleet
BooBoo Plant Hire is expanding its demolition and construction plant hire business with an order of ten ProLight solar lighting towers from Prolectric Limited.Β The order adds a temporary lighting option with no emissions, noise or fumes for BooBooβs customers and provides more options for contractors to benefit from the rapidly-expanding fleet of Prolectric solar lighting.
The order means BooBoo Plant Hire can now provide environmentally-responsible, smart, clean and low-maintenance temporary lighting as an alternative to conventional diesel-powered lights anywhere in the UK.Β The units can be delivered to site to provide bright, reliable lighting for demolition projects, urban infrastructure contracts and welfare compounds.
Taking delivery of the first three ProLight solar lighting towers from Prolectric at Prolectricβs headquarters in Clevedon, Somerset, BooBoo Plant Hireβs Director Terry Guilder said: βSince first coming across Prolectric, we have been thoroughly impressed with the ProLight and eager to add it to our plant hire portfolio as quickly as possible. We have a strong London base, and we have seen an increased demand for solar-powered equipment from contractors needing to meet more stringent emissions regulations in the capital as well as in other major cities.
βNot only is the ProLight an attractive option for the environment with no air pollution or carbon emissions, but we are equally excited by the added-value and reliability it will offer to our customers.Β Especially for our demolition and urban construction projects, using the ProLight means no noise or fumes and therefore our customers can work for longer and with less nuisance when close to residential areas or in busy urban environments.β
Chris Williams, managing director of Prolectric said: βWe are delighted that BooBoo Plant Hire has committed to providing sustainable and low-maintenance temporary lighting for its customers.Β
βThere are now 100s of Prolectric temporary lights available for rent making it the UKβs largest solar lighting rental fleet and already making a worthwhile contribution to reducing construction industry carbon emissions.Β
βThe rapidly-growing popularity is a ringing endorsement of this revolutionary βuse and forgetβ technology and the fact that contractors can rely on the technology to operate all year round even when daylight hours are limited.β
Solar lighting specialist manufacturer Prolectric launched the ProLight last year as the first temporary solar lighting tower that can operate reliably even on winter days with 16 hours of darkness. The ProLight comprises a specially-developed trailer-mounted unit with heavy-duty, deep-cycle batteries, an array of four or three high powered solar panels, a 7.5m telescopic mast and four LED lights supplying up to 400 watts and 60,000 lumens output.
The Prolectric ProLightβs digital remote monitoring and control function enables on/off settings to be automatically adjusted to suit the light conditions and its performance can be tracked and reported. Prolectric can also provide users with an easy calculator tool to help contractors to demonstrate the lightβs carbon emissions and manpower cost savings, easily justifying their use against diesel alternatives.
