Nottingham-based civil and electrical engineering firm McCann, will be exhibiting alongside the East Midlands Asset Delivery team for Highways England at this year’s Nottinghamshire County Show from the 12-13 May at Newark Showground.

McCann will be displaying one of its Mobile Elevating Work Platforms – known in the construction industry as a MEWP – as part of a larger display by the East Midlands Asset Delivery Team (EMAD), for Highways England.

The MEWP will be set up as part of a wider static display of motorway maintenance plant and equipment and the EMAD team will have time-lapse cameras mounted within the MEWP basket, to record the entirety of the two-day show.

The aim of the event for EMAD is to elevate awareness of its activities to the general public and provide an opportunity for the public to meet the team that dedicates itself to ensuring that their journeys across the UK are safe and reliable.

Visitors will be able to enjoy exciting and dramatic live demonstrations and there will also be a wide range of plant and machinery to explore and lots of activities to keep the kids entertained.

The annual Nottinghamshire County Show attracts thousands of visitors each year and is renowned for its live agricultural demonstrations, food experiences, live music, dog shows and much more.

For McCann MD John McCann, it is great for the company to be in the lineup for this year’s Nottinghamshire County Show and he hopes their presence is informative and exciting for the families in attendance – “The Nottinghamshire County Show is very popular locally and attracts families and visitors from across the county and further afield,” said John.

“Hopefully we can teach people about the work we do on a daily basis and provide some fascinating insights and demonstrations across both days,” added John.

The Nottinghamshire County Show runs from the 12 – 13 May 2018 at the Newark Showground.
