VolvoCE launches Volvo Services in China

Volvo Construction Equipment has used its participation at bauma China 2018 to officially launch its integrated customer service solution – Volvo Services – in China. This new solution brings together the varied products and services that are available within Volvo CE into a single comprehensive Services offering.

Volvo Services is a new way of serving customers in China with everything they need throughout their machines’ life-cycle, including financing packages, parts supply and maintenance, and even total machine rebuilds.

Volvo Services consists of nine categories: Fuel Efficiency, Productivity, Safety, Finance, Uptime, Attachments, Rental, Parts and New Life. Each category is filled with different service items and customers can easily have a tailor-made package created to meet their specific needs – all supported by a Volvo Services Agreement.

Volvo dealers play an integral part in the success of this new approach. With Volvo Services dealers can better organize their competence and capability and improve customer satisfaction throughout a close relationship with the customer throughout the long life of a Volvo machine.

When launching Volvo Services in China, the company has carefully reviewed customer expectations, an activity that highlighted several focus areas: Uptime, Fuel Efficiency, Productivity, New Life and Financial Services.

Fuel Efficiency Powered with Big Data

Within Fuel Efficiency Services is a range of products that include Insight Reports that aim to lower operating costs of new and existing Volvo machines. With machine information on-hand, customers can implement corrective actions, such as operator training that improves working practices and ensures long-term fuel efficiency of the machine.

Using telematic data transmitted from the machines, Insight Reports identify areas for improvement. Volvo’s CareTrack® telematics system plays a vital role in the process: leveraging the sensors on the Volvo machines and automatically recording thousands of machine data points into ready-made reports, which are then emailed to the customer on a weekly or monthly basis.

By collecting detailed data and presenting it in an easy-to-understand format, customers spend less time sifting through complex machine information and more time focusing on their operations. Utilizing the insights and machine data gives customers the possibility to protect machines and better understand how they are used.

Smart applications drive productivity

Productivity Services includes a host of advanced solutions that improve and maintain site productivity. Operator training, API Services, Co-pilot and machine simulators are the key factors within Productivity Services that can boost machine and site productivity. Customers choose from various machine options, control systems and training packages that enhance the performance of their existing Volvo fleet – helping them do more and earn more.

At bauma China Volvo CE is also presenting its Volvo Co-pilot at the Volvo Pavilion. Visitors can try this smart solution that is designed for higher operational efficiency. The Volvo Co-pilot tablet display and its associated ‘Assist’ machine control systems, which includes Dig Assist, Load Assist, Compact Assist, Haul Assist and Pave Assist, all improve productivity significantly by helping achieve better outcomes in less time – boosting profitability.

Uptime means all

Uptime Services is proven to cut repair costs and unplanned machine downtime, helping customers keep their machines and businesses up and running. At Volvo CE, Uptime services is supported by mobile service stations (‘Yellow boxes’), to the Wechat servicing account, onsite maintenance and inspections, Onsight Connect remote diagnostics – and even 400 hotlines that are always ready to answer and support customer queries.

For customers who operate in remote sites, mobile service stations (‘Yellow boxes’) can provide the necessary tools, parts or equipment, ensuring a fast repair and maintenance. There are also extended coverages for machines, relieving customers from the worry about machine breakdown costs.

Customers following the Volvo Official Wechat account can now gain access to all service features, including reports on machine breakdowns, Insight reports, online assistance, and other machine management tasks. The smart utilization of social apps make Uptime Services even more convenient for customers in China.

Greater Added Value

Providing customers with more value, the New Life Services and Financial Services are also essential highlights of Volvo Services.

Volvo understands that a new machine isn’t always the right fit for every customer’s business. With New Life Services, Volvo customers can choose from a range of solutions – from factory-manufactured components to an entire machine overhaul – and flexible packages, tailor-made to bring Volvo machines back to their best. By giving hardworking Volvo machines the makeover they deserve, New Life Services optimize the long-term investment value and total cost of ownership.

Financial Services offers flexible financial and insurance solutions to protect and grow customers’ businesses. From a single unit to an entire fleet, Financial Services offers tailor-made payment schemes to match individual priorities. Volvo Financial Services (VFS) could be the best choice for customers seeking flexible payment terms when purchasing Volvo equipment, as it offers competitive financial offers and a deep understanding of Volvo products.

With Volvo Services now launched in China, Volvo CE intends to provide a strong total solution for its customers across the country. Wherever you are, just remember: Volvo Services is at your service.
