Grand opening for TMP Solutions’ new manufacturing site in Wednesbury
On Thursday 24th January 2019 TMP Solutions who manufacture traffic management products celebrated the grand opening of their new factory site in Wednesbury, half way between Birmingham and Wolverhampton in the UK.
Thirty valued industry representatives enjoyed a tour of the new facility, as well as presentations, networking opportunities and cake.
The event was attended by representatives from Dewhurst Plc and many key industry figures from the likes of Kier, Amey and Ringway as well as the Mayor of Sandwell, Councillor Joy Edis, who officially cut the ribbon to open our new facility.
“Thank you for inviting me to officially open the new manufacturing plant for TMP Solutions. It’s fantastic to see such a well-regarded company bringing its base of operations to the Wednesbury. I wish you every success in your new home.” Mayor of Sandwell, Councillor Joy Edis.
The new 15,000 sq ft site is located in the heart of the West Midlands and is home to a state of the art rotational moulding plant. This prime location is better suited to take advantage of the fantastic transport links of the Midlands, enabling TMP to deliver our high-quality British made products efficiently across the country.
Secure Supply Chain
A move to the Midlands made sense. In mid-2018 one of TMP’s key manufacturing partners sadly ran into difficulties and was forced to close. However, TMP were able to purchase all the machinery needed to bring the whole manufacturing process in-house, and provide jobs for a proportion of the company’s skilled and experienced workers, ensuring continuity of product and securing employment for the existing workforce.
“We are very proud of our new modern premises. It has taken a lot of hard work by the whole team to get to where we are now, and the future looks very bright. We are a company well known for innovation, not just in products, but in total solutions. This is an ethos we will continue, developing new solutions that benefit safety, the environment and support the local community” Dan Robinson, Managing Director TMP Solutions
