Scotland’s Black Isle Show a huge success for Chris Knight Plant Sales and Yanmar
This year’s Black Isle Show proved an unprecedented success for Highland-based Chris Knight Plant Sales. Exhibiting a number of models from Yanmar’s compact equipment range, the dealer hosted hundreds of visitors over the course of the two-day event.
Alongside the B95W, key models exhibited included the Yanmar SV08, SV18 SV22 and SV60 tracked excavators; Vi012, Vi057 and Vi082 zero tail swing excavators; and C08, C12 and C30 tracked carriers.
Commenting on the success of the show, Chris Knight, owner of Chris Knight Plant Sales, said: “The Black Isle Show is always a great event for us, and this year we moved to a much bigger stand which gave us the opportunity to display more Yanmar products.
“2019 was our fifth year exhibiting at the show, but our first in conjunction with Yanmar, and we saw a steady stream of visitors to the stand over the two days.
“We were delighted with the response to Yanmar’s latest equipment range – especially the B95W wheeled excavator and compact tracked carriers. The brand is renowned worldwide for its extensive equipment portfolio, a pedigree we really saw reflected by the interest on stand.”
Based in Nairn in the Highlands of Scotland and with two sub-dealers based in Stirlingshire and Aberdeenshire, Chris Knight Plant Sales has Scotland covered from the Firth of Forth to Argyll, to the Western and Northern isles.
Chris Knight Plant Sales specialises in new and second-hand compact plant machinery. The dealer retails Yanmar’s portfolio of class-leading crawler excavators across Northern Scotland (covering the geographical area from Angus to Caithness).
Bart Verstraete, area sales manager at Yanmar Construction Equipment Europe added, “Working with Chris Knight Plant Sales has increased access to our compact equipment portfolio for owner operators across the Highlands.
“Our equipment has been developed to excel in the toughest environments and most challenging terrains. Feedback from the Black Isle Show has been fantastic and we’re looking forward to working closely with the Chris Knight Plant Sales team to further increase our presence across Northern Scotland.”
The Black Isle Show, which celebrated its 182nd year in 2019, attracts thousands of visitors from across the United Kingdom and draws farmers, crofters and agriculturists to the event in Ross and Cromarty, just south of Inverness. This year, the renowned event played host to more than 300 trade stands.
