Bobcat dealer in Sweden supporting Child Cancer Patients
Minutdagen in cooperation with AjaBajaCancer foundation has teamed up with Bobcat Sverige AB, the exclusive dealer for the Bobcat range in Sweden, to auction off a unique Bobcat machine decorated with children’s drawings.
All proceeds from the auction will go to AjaBajaCancer and the production of Minutdagen (Minuteday) – a summer event for children with cancer.
The Minutdagen event, planned for 21 August 2021, gives children the opportunity to experience something exciting and help the entire family forget their struggles for a day. This year promises an exciting day filled with flying airplanes and helicopters, good food, live music and various other exciting experiences and activities. “The positive feedback we have been getting from both big and small participants of Minutdagen is incredible and we are really touched by the support. We are thrilled by the prospect of being able to make this event even more amazing thanks to the generosity of Bobcat Sverige and the potential bidders,” says Ellinor Stattin from AjaBajaCancer, a non-profit association controlled by the Swedish Fundraising Control and started by two mothers of children with cancer.
“Minutdagen was created because I felt an urge to do something here and now. I wanted to create memories and extend a helping hand to those who need it the most,” says Johan Lagerqvist, creator and initiator for Minutdagen. Johan works full time as a pilot and saw an opportunity to combine his passion for flying with helping struggling children. “We had an idea that families struggling with cancer should be granted some time and space to pause, and catch their breath. All families and children deserve to smile, laugh and be happy if only for a minute, which was why the Minutdagen was created.”
Bobcat Sverige has donated a new Bobcat L28 small articulated loader which will be auctioned off, and has given it a ‘special’ new coat of paint for the occasion. “We decided to support AjaBajaCancer because of their outstanding commitment to the children and such a lovely event. This year, we decided to make it a bit special by putting an entire machine up for auction and customising it with cute art made by children. The winner will get a truly one-of-a-kind piece of equipment – made even more exclusive by the fact that you can’t even buy this machine yet! Indeed the L28 being auctioned off is the first of its kind in Europe and it’s thanks to the good collaboration with Doosan Bobcat that we have been able to secure the machine and offer it before official sales start,” says Marcus Andersson, Marketing Manager at Bobcat Sverige AB.
The auction is scheduled to start on 15 June via the Klaravik platform and finish on 21 June.
