Hitachi Construction Machinery UK, a leading name in the construction, quarrying and demolition equipment market, is delighted to be holding an auction for a Hitachi 1985 UH063 machine as part of their 50th Anniversary Celebrations, with the winner being announced at Hillhead Show in June 2022.

All proceeds from the auction will go to the Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity, a charity that provides emotional, physical, and financial wellbeing support to construction workers and their families.

This unique vintage machine will be given a new lease of life by HCMUK’s Hitachi trained engineers at their Hitachi Connected Technology department in the Northeast, as well as a fresh paint job and will be on display on HCMUK’s stand Z3 at Hillhead 2022 for any customers and fans to view.

Talking about the auction Mark Turnham, National Director of Sales & Marketing at HCMUK commented: “We’re delighted to be able to support such an important charity through this auction, one that does so much for those in the construction industry and to also celebrate one of the world’s most iconic excavators, the Hitachi UH063.”

Bids for the machine will be taken on Tuesday 21st June by email, with the winner being announced at Hillhead on Wednesday 22nd June.
