Sweco spins off Twinfinity BIM Platform
From 1 October 2022, Sweco will be operating Twinfinity as a wholly owned subsidiary of Sweco AB.
The objective is to accelerate development and sales of the product Twinfinity, Sweco’s BIM platform that connects a digital 3D model of a building together with business, operational and climate data.
Twinfinity can visualise how a building is constructed and functions as well as the building’s performance. In turn, this provides the prerequisites for applying a factual basis to minimising the building’s climate impact, lowering operating costs and creating new value for property owners, tenants and residents. Twinfinity is the result of close collaboration with a number of property clients in Sweden, who have a distinct need and demand for the product.
“The megatrends of sustainability and digitalisation are driving growth in demand for Sweco’s services. Our strategy is based on close client relationships and understanding their needs, both current and in the future. This means that digital innovation is always based on clients’ needs and is developed in client projects. By moving Twinfinity into its own company, we establish the optimal prerequisites for further development at the same time as providing the best possible support for existing and future clients,” says Åsa Bergman, President and CEO of Sweco.
Twinfinity AB comprises the product, product development and product support. Product-related consulting services will continue to be managed through Sweco’s consulting services. Initially, Twinfinity AB will have some 15 employees and Björn Skoogh, who is currently Regional Manager for Sweco in Gothenburg, will be the company’s Managing Director.
“I am eagerly looking forward to starting the next phase of Twinfinity’s exciting development. We have ambitious growth plans in terms of product development, marketing and sales. We know that this product is both attractive and in high demand with many clients,” says Björn Skoogh, incoming Managing Director of Twinfinity AB.
