hy-fcell 2023 in Stuttgart to promote Hydrogen Technology

hy-fcell 2023 in Stuttgart promotes knowledge transfer, networking and professional exchange within the hydrogen and fuel cell community more than ever before. To this end, the organizer, Messe Stuttgart, has once again expanded the accompanying programme and the information offered. High-ranking representatives from industry and politics are expected to attend the conference.

Due to the international nature of hy-fcell, many exhibitors and visitors will already arrive the day before the expo opens. For this target group, but also for interested parties with a short journey, a hy-fcell Kick-off event is planned for the first time this year. Industry insiders will meet on Tuesday, 12 September at 7:00 p.m. in the relaxed atmosphere of the restaurant Wirtshaus Garbe in Stuttgart-Plieningen for an informal discussion of hydrogen and fuel cell topics.

Attendance at the kick-off is included with a expo or conference ticket and is hosted by hy-fcell. Registration is available directly on the expo website.

Packed conference with a focus on fuel cells

On 13 and 14 September, the hy-fcell conference with its diverse programme and more than 60 speakers from all over the world and from various industries will provide a platform to exchange perspectives. Opening the conference will be Daria Nochevnik, Director of the Hydrogen Council – a global CEO-led initiative that brings together leading companies representing the entire hydrogen value chain. On the first day, the political plenary session will feature Thekla Walker MdL, Minister of the Environment, Climate Protection and the Energy Sector Baden-Württemberg, and Dr. Franziska Brantner, Parliamentary State Secretary at the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action.

The technical programme is structured thematically in parallel conference strands on hydrogen, fuel cells, applications, and funding and financing. This year, special attention will be paid to fuel cell production. As our partner, the Fraunhofer Research Platform for Fuel Cell Production will host eight sessions on topics related to the future of this pioneering energy converter.

Technical Tours to companies in the region

The hy-fcell Technical Tours offer an exclusive look behind the scenes of local innovators in the industry. The guided bus tours, which are being offered for the first time, will depart from the exhibition grounds on 15 September and will take guests for example to the Centre for Solar Energy and Hydrogen Research Baden-Württemberg (ZSW) in Ulm, the cellcentric GmbH & Co. KG in Kirchheim unter Teck and to DLR Lampoldshausen in Hardthausen am Kocher.

“The Technical Tours promise not only exciting inside views into the work of pioneers in the field of hydrogen and fuel cell technologies, but also grant a special view of the Stuttgart region,” promises Katharina Jathe, Manager Expo and Events for hy-fcell at Messe Stuttgart. The Technical Tours programne is currently being expanded – interested parties can keep up to date online or subscribe to the event Newsletter.

Prepare for your expo visit with Sneak Previews

Plan booth visits and prepare talks: The new Sneak Previews on the expo website help visitors organize their visit to hy-fcell 2023. Exhibitors present their companies briefly and compactly and provide initial insights into their competencies as well as their product portfolio. These include Robert Bosch GmbH, which will provide an update on its core electrolysis products and stationary and mobile fuel cell applications in Stuttgart.

As a federally-owned company, NOW GmbH takes on contracts from federal ministries in the areas of sustainable mobility and energy supply. At its booth, it will provide information on the implementation and coordination of funding programmes. A visit to the booth of Clean Power Net (CPN) also promises to be exciting. The innovation cluster acts as a platform for technology and knowledge transfer between manufacturers and users and is currently working on the market launch of environmentally friendly fuel cell applications.
