XCMG’s Renewable Energy Products promise a Greener Future
Recently, XCMG’s XGC11000A crawler crane has successfully completed the hoisting and installation of the world’s first 2.7 MW efficient and compact tandem double-wind turbine unit, Huaneng “Sairui,” at the Huaneng Tongyu wind farm in Jilin. As a key national R&D project, “Sairui” is a breakthrough of conventional wind power technology to anchor a new development path that significantly expands the scale of wind energy resources which can be developed.
The “Sairui” wind turbine unit has a single capacity of 2.7MW, the weight of the nacelle, first tower, and wind turbine are 170 tons, 111 tons, and 50 tons respectively. The XGC11000A adopted the standard wind power installation configuration of 96 meters plus 12 meters, the intelligent control makes it convenient to operate, with sound micro-mobility feature that achieves high efficiency installation with precision, and it has greatly improved the hoisting efficiency of the project and reduced construction time.
With sizable investments continually go into the R&D of new energy product development, XCMG is vigorously layout development for related technologies including electronic control, battery, and electric drive, and accelerate green and intelligent manufacturing with focus on industrial transformation and upgrade.
Last month, XCMG has sent off more than 100 units of Kunpeng forklifts to customers overseas from its green and intelligent manufacturing base of forklift. The Kunpeng series electric forklift is developed to meet the diversified needs of global customers, boasting stronger performance, safety system and interactive experience, and it includes three models – high-performance dual-drive G model, the enhanced C model, and standard S model.
The Kunpeng series achieves quick switch of lithium lead-acid platforms and has the advantages of both high-performance traditional forklifts and sustainable electric forklifts. It adopts XCMG’s exclusive XEC electric control technology with highly matched electric motor and control system, coupled with intelligent safety systems including OPS to safeguard the operations. The highly compatible products can meet the various material handling demands for both lightweight and heavy load tasks in different markets, and the universal components make it efficient to deploy and maintain.
In June, XCMG has delivered a batch order of XC968-EV pure electric loader to customers in Southeast Asia, where new energy equipment products are becoming the preferred choice of many customers due to the rising oil prices and push to promote green economy. The large-tonnage model with robust power and exceptional performance adopts the “triple motor” drive system that achieves zero emission and low noise at the same time, not only satisfies the local environmental policies, but also boasts more comfortable operation experience for the users.
XCMG’s self-developed electric control system can easily cope with the challenges of various construction conditions, the advanced hydraulic system and intelligent control technology also improves working efficiency and manoeuvrability precision. The XC968-EV can operate six to eight hours with one hour of charging.
“Our company has always paid more attention to product configuration and performance when purchasing equipment. XCMG’s electric products are very popular among peers. After preliminary understanding and trials, XCMG’s products perform well in work. We are extremely satisfied,” said Preecha, a customer in Thailand.
The XC968-EV pure electric loader was also highlighted alongside XCMG’s latest pure electric mixing truck G4804BIIVE at the 2023 China Concrete Exhibition which opened on June 2 in Nanjing China. The mixing truck, a bestseller in the first quarter, adopts a synergistic design of the upper components and chassis to maximize the vehicle performance. It’s also equipped with multimedia central control screen with integrated display and voice recognition, and allows users to have an overview of the vehicle status conveniently.
As the global industries now taking actions to tackle the climate challenges, the construction industries are also pushing forward green and intelligent transformation.
“Looking ahead, XCMG will continue to promote technological innovation and break new grounds in the field of construction technologies, we thrive to support our customers to achieve success with digital, green, and intelligent equipment products and integrated solutions, and together building a greener future for all,” said Yang Dongsheng, Chairman and CEO of XCMG.
