QMJ Group acquires UK Concrete Show

The QMJ Group, organizers of the internationally renowned Hillhead exhibition, are delighted to announce the acquisition of The UK Concrete Show. The move will add the UK and Europe’s market-leading concrete show to The QMJ Group portfolio.

It will also further cement QMJ’s position as the premier UK event organizers for the quarrying and construction sector, enabling them to add value to visitors and exhibitors alike through their expertise across this marketplace.

Richard Bradbury, managing director of The QMJ Group, explained: “We are very excited to take over the UK’s longest-serving and only dedicated trade show for the concrete industry in the UK and Ireland.

“The QMJ team look forward to providing an even better show experience for the concrete community both by leveraging the obvious benefits that the Hillhead brand and Agg-Net.com platform will bring, and by offering a range of new initiatives that will be introduced to the marketplace over the coming months. These will include the launch of ‘Concrete Connect’, a dedicated digital news site for the industry, and a new show website that will bring visitors and exhibitors even closer together.

“QMJ will also be able to draw on the extensive market intelligence their consultancy business, BDS, has provided to the concrete sector for the last 30 years.”

Marianne Callaghan, former owner of The UK Concrete Show, commented: “We are thrilled to be able to pass The UK Concrete Show on to the QMJ Group, who are ideally placed to build on its success through the obvious synergies that they will deliver from their existing events and media channels.”

The 12th UK Concrete Show returns to the NEC Birmingham from 20–21 March 2024.
