Sunstone Systems and WJ Group celebrate Security and Fire Excellence Awards
Sunstone Systems and WJ Group have been awarded the ‘Security Partnering Initiative of the Year’ at the Security & Fire Excellence Awards.
Recognised for their carbon reducing solar powered surveillance system, the ARC 4.0, the award highlights both businesses’ commitments to continued eco-friendly innovation in the highways sector.
The latest technology, which removes the need for hardwired or diesel-powered solutions when installing temporary CCTV systems at sites, such as roadworks, combines WJ Group’s highways knowledge and Sunstone Systems’ security expertise.
With other benefits including improved efficiency, a reduced risk of errors and fewer project delays, the ARC 4.0 helps meet local authorities’ needs as well as keeping their sustainability commitments in mind.
Now in its 24th year, the Security & Fire Excellence Awards are regarded as the Security industry’s highest honours, showcasing the year’s best work to other businesses within the industry.
Wayne Johnson, CEO of WJ Group said: “As leaders in highways innovations, it was great to work with a similarly committed business to create an eco-friendly solution to reduce our dependence on unsustainable fuels. This collaboration is not just about combining strengths; it’s about creating a synergy that leads to ground-breaking solutions for the UK’s highways.
“Receiving recognition from the Security & Fire Excellence Awards only goes to show the effectiveness of the partnership.”
Paul Schelhaas, CEO of Sunstone Systems went on to say: “Providing our clients with technology that surpasses their expectations is what we want to achieve and by working with WJ Group, collectively we have made that a reality. With our combined end goal in mind, we have created a solution that underpins our desire to innovate solutions while keeping the objective of sustainability in mind.
“With this recognised success, both Sunstone Systems and WJ Group have continued to improve our offerings to help the highways industry work towards achieving net zero.”
