Package J2: Southern Jebel Ali Tunnels

  • Extending 16 km, with a link tunnel stretching an impressive 46 km, this package will further develop the southern section of the Jebel Ali sewerage network.

Package J3: Central Tunnels, TPS, and Links

  • Comprising 16 km of tunnels, this package also includes TPS and 46 km of link tunnels, connecting various sections of the sewerage system and ensuring seamless operation.

Package J4: Extensive Link Network

  • This package focuses on constructing 129 km of link tunnels, which will connect the various parts of the sewerage system, ensuring that the new gravity-based system functions cohesively across the city.

The DSST project’s remaining two packages will focus on the expansion and upgrade of the existing STPs at Jebel Ali and Warsan. These upgrades are critical as they will ensure that the treatment plants can handle the increased flow resulting from the new gravity-based sewerage system. Unlike the first four packages, these two will be procured through a separate process, underscoring the complexity and scale of the DSST project.
