Bridgestone to unveil AI and Fleet Solutions at IAA 2024

Bridgestone is set to return to IAA TRANSPORTATION 2024, taking place from September 17 to 22 in Hanover, Germany, where it will showcase its latest advances in fleet management technology.

This year’s exhibit will focus on Bridgestone Fleet Care, a comprehensive, data-driven service portfolio that merges premium tyres, advanced telematics, and AI-powered insights. Designed to optimise efficiency, safety, and sustainability for fleet operators, Bridgestone Fleet Care is poised to capture the spotlight with its innovative solutions and new AI assistant, making fleet management more intuitive and effective than ever before.

An Integrated Approach to Fleet Efficiency

Bridgestone Fleet Care has steadily evolved since its introduction in Europe two years ago, offering a tailored combination of premium tyres, fleet management tools, and service solutions. By integrating tyres and telematics data, Bridgestone helps fleet operators make informed decisions that drive operational efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and safety.

The IAA TRANSPORTATION 2024 exhibit will feature a comprehensive demonstration of how Bridgestone’s connected fleet solutions provide actionable insights, all within a single, intuitive interface.

Fleet operators will gain first-hand experience with the Fleet Data Analytics Dashboard, which aggregates data from across the fleet ecosystem, including tyre pressure, vehicle load, and driving behaviours. By centralising this information, Bridgestone empowers fleet managers to review key metrics, benchmark performance, and receive tailored recommendations—all aimed at streamlining fleet operations and boosting overall productivity.

Webfleet’s Latest Innovations

Webfleet, Bridgestone’s flagship fleet management platform and a cornerstone of Fleet Care, will take centre stage at IAA 2024. Celebrating 25 years as a leader in telematics, Webfleet will introduce a new AI Assistant powered by generative AI technology, designed to offer fleet managers faster and more personalised access to data insights. This tool will initially focus on Webfleet’s OptiDrive solution, providing detailed feedback on driving behaviour and fleet performance metrics, such as fuel consumption, idling, and harsh braking.

This AI Assistant enables fleet managers to interact with their data in a conversational manner, delivering clear and concise answers to complex questions. By simplifying data analysis, the AI tool allows operators to act quickly on real-time and historical data, leading to smarter decision-making and more efficient fleet operations.

“Our new AI Assistant is a major leap forward in leveraging the power of data. It provides our customers with the fastest and most convenient way to make informed decisions, optimising their operations,” said Jan-Maarten de Vries, President of Fleet Management Solutions at Bridgestone Mobility Solutions.

Bridgestone’s Smart Predictive Maintenance

The key to a safe and efficient fleet lies in preventive maintenance, and Bridgestone’s solutions take this a step further with smart predictive maintenance. By combining telematics with tyre data, fleet operators can proactively monitor tyre health, including pressure, temperature, tread depth, and wear. The integration of real-time data from OEM-fitted sensors—without the need for aftermarket installations—allows Bridgestone’s algorithms to predict maintenance needs and alert fleet managers through the Webfleet interface.

The latest evolution of Bridgestone’s TPMS live solution will also be on display, offering real-time tyre monitoring that ensures optimal performance and minimises downtime. This integrated system not only enhances safety but also extends tyre life, contributing to both sustainability goals and cost savings.

25 Years of Telematics Leadership

In addition to the AI-powered innovations, Webfleet will celebrate a significant milestone at IAA 2024—25 years of telematics excellence. Since its debut at the same event a quarter-century ago, Webfleet has grown into one of the world’s most trusted fleet management solutions, offering products that range from video telematics to cold chain solutions. This year, Webfleet will spotlight the success stories of customers who have leveraged its technology to achieve outstanding results.

“We’re proud to mark 25 years of innovation at the forefront of telematics. Our continued success is a testament to our commitment to delivering easy-to-use, data-driven solutions that enhance fleet operations,” said de Vries.

What to Expect at IAA TRANSPORTATION 2024

Attendees of IAA TRANSPORTATION 2024 can explore Bridgestone Fleet Care and Webfleet’s innovations across two booths: Bridgestone’s main exhibit in Hall 12, Booth #C54, and Webfleet’s dedicated presence in Hall 25, Booth #B60. The event kicks off with Media Day on September 16, followed by public days from September 17 to 22.

Fleet managers, investors, and industry stakeholders can look forward to live demonstrations, interactive displays, and expert insights into the future of fleet management.

Bridging the Future of Fleet Management

As the transportation industry evolves, fleet operators face increasing pressure to meet efficiency, safety, and sustainability targets. Bridgestone’s integrated solutions, backed by the power of AI and real-time data analytics, offer a comprehensive approach to overcoming these challenges. From tyre health to driving behaviour, Bridgestone’s Fleet Care is redefining what’s possible in fleet management—paving the way for smarter, greener, and more profitable operations.

With its return to IAA TRANSPORTATION, Bridgestone reaffirms its position as a leader in the fleet management space, committed to delivering innovative solutions that address today’s challenges while anticipating tomorrow’s needs.
