Hyundai Mobis Unveils a Panoramic Vision for Mobility at CES 2025

Hyundai Mobis is gearing up to unveil the world’s first full-windshield holographic display at CES 2025.

This ground-breaking technology promises to redefine the driving experience, combining augmented reality (AR) with critical driving information to create a safer and more immersive journey.

The showcase, held at the Las Vegas Convention Center from January 7-10, will also feature a suite of human-centric technologies that underscore Hyundai Mobis’ vision for the future of mobility.

A Revolutionary Windshield Display

At the heart of Hyundai Mobis’ CES presentation is its Holographic Windshield Display—an innovation set to transform how drivers interact with their vehicles. Unlike traditional heads-up displays, this system projects vital driving information across the entire windshield, providing a panoramic view that spans both the driver’s and passenger’s seats. Navigation cues, infotainment updates, and safety alerts are seamlessly integrated into the field of vision, ensuring a blend of convenience and heightened situational awareness.

Co-developed with German optics giant ZEISS, the display employs a specialised optical film to maintain a clear, spacious view. Notably, the technology will debut in Kia’s EV9 electric vehicle during CES 2025, offering attendees an exclusive glimpse of its capabilities. Hyundai Mobis aims to commence mass production of the holographic windshield by 2027, setting the stage for widespread adoption in the automotive industry.

Human-Centric Technology

Under the theme “Beyond and More,” Hyundai Mobis is taking a bold step forward with its “Human Tech” initiative, a suite of innovations designed to harmonise technology with human needs.

Among the highlights is an adaptive interior lighting system that not only enhances aesthetic appeal but also addresses practical concerns like stress reduction and motion sickness.

Adaptive Interior Lighting

This advanced lighting technology offers 32 unique situational modes, adjusting to the user’s mood, health, and environment. Whether reducing driver stress, mitigating motion sickness, or providing UV-C sterilisation, the system is engineered to enhance overall comfort and safety.

By syncing with biological rhythms and external conditions, it delivers a personalised in-vehicle experience that adapts dynamically to changing needs.

Brainwave-Based Driver Monitoring: M.Brain

Another standout innovation is M.Brain, Hyundai Mobis’ cutting-edge brainwave monitoring system. By analysing real-time brainwave data, M.Brain detects driver drowsiness or inattention and issues timely alerts to prevent accidents.

CES attendees can witness live demonstrations of this pioneering technology, which showcases Hyundai Mobis’ commitment to proactive safety measures.

A Decade of CES Excellence

2025 marks Hyundai Mobis’ tenth consecutive year at CES, a testament to its enduring commitment to technological innovation. Over the years, the company has consistently delivered trailblazing concepts and production-ready solutions, cementing its reputation as a visionary in the mobility sector.

At this year’s event, Hyundai Mobis will reaffirm its leadership by showcasing technologies that not only address current challenges but also anticipate future trends.
