From a pool of visionary applicants, five companies from Switzerland, Spain, the United Kingdom, and Canada have been selected to collaborate with Sacyr’s business experts, where they will develop and test their innovative solutions in real-world settings.

- Irmos Technologies – Monitoring Structural Integrity with AI: Hailing from Switzerland, Irmos Technologies has introduced an advanced infrastructure monitoring system. This solution utilises a combination of proprietary low-cost wireless sensors and artificial intelligence to assess the structural integrity of buildings and bridges. By detecting invisible and potentially catastrophic internal damage, this technology enhances the safety and longevity of critical infrastructure.
- Mitiga Solutions – Predicting Climate Risks with EarthScan: From Spain, Mitiga Solutions has developed EarthScan, a cutting-edge climate risk assessment tool. Using AI and advanced modelling techniques, EarthScan predicts climate threats such as floods, droughts, and extreme temperatures, providing actionable insights for up to 80 years into the future. This innovation equips governments and businesses with the foresight needed to build resilience against natural disasters.
- Ehab – Weatherproofing the Construction Sector: Representing the United Kingdom, Ehab offers a climate risk management platform tailored to the construction and infrastructure industries. By integrating real-time weather data and predictive analytics, Ehab’s platform helps construction projects stay on track despite adverse weather conditions, mitigating risks and enhancing operational efficiency.
Circularity in Water
- Evove – Revolutionising Water Filtration: Evove, a UK-based company, is reimagining water treatment through 3D-printed ceramic membranes and graphene-based coatings. Paired with AI, this technology optimises water separation and filtration processes, dramatically improving efficiency and sustainability. Evove’s innovation is poised to address global water scarcity by maximising the utility of existing resources.
- EagleRidge – Turning Waste into Opportunity: Canada’s EagleRidge has developed MicroPoP technology, which solubilises waste activated sludge (WAS) by breaking down microbial cell walls. This process not only reduces sludge production by nearly 100% but also enhances the generation of biogas, making wastewater treatment plants more sustainable and profitable. EagleRidge’s approach exemplifies how circularity in water management can lead to significant environmental and economic benefits.
