TCA Scholarship Supports the Next Generation of Trucking Professionals
The Truckload Carriers Association (TCA) has once again opened the doors to its esteemed Scholarship Fund for the 2025-2026 academic year. From now until 21 March, eligible students are invited to submit their applications for this generous opportunity.
The TCA Scholarship Fund has a long-standing tradition of supporting individuals connected to the truckload industry, underscoring the association’s commitment to fostering education within its community.
A Legacy of Support
Since its inception in 1973, the TCA Scholarship Fund has been a beacon of support for students linked to the truckload sector. The fund offers up to $6,250 annually to full-time undergraduates attending four-year institutions and up to $2,000 for those enrolled in two-year colleges. In the 2024-2025 academic year alone, the Board of Trustees awarded scholarships to 60 students, amounting to over $168,000 in total.
Eligibility Criteria
The scholarship is open to students who meet the following criteria:
- Maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.0.
- Plan to attend an accredited two-year or four-year college or university in the United States or Canada as a full-time student (freshman through senior year).
- Are either:
- The child, grandchild, or spouse of an employee of a TCA member company.
- The child, grandchild, or spouse of an independent contractor affiliated with a TCA member company.
- A current employee of a TCA member company.
This inclusive approach ensures that a broad spectrum of individuals connected to the truckload industry can benefit from the scholarship.
Application Process
Prospective applicants should be aware of the following steps:
- Online Application: Complete the online application form available on the TCA Scholarship Fund’s website.
- Required Documents: Upload the following:
- An official transcript of all courses and grades.
- FAFSA Submission Summary or financial aid award letter.
- Course schedule for the upcoming term (if available).
- Reference information.
- A high-quality headshot photo.
The deadline for applications is 11:59 p.m. EST on Friday, 21 March 2025. Applicants will receive decisions by the end of June, with scholarship funds distributed to recipients’ campuses in July, provided all necessary documentation has been submitted.
