The operational oversight falls under PT Aruna Hijau Power (AHP), a company jointly owned by PT Aruna (80%) and PLN Batam (20%).
Adi Dharmanto, President Director of PT Aruna Hijau Power, detailed the plant’s impressive capabilities. Featuring 160,000 bifacial solar panels, each with a capacity of 630 Wp, and powered by 240 advanced inverters, the plant is expected to generate a staggering 150 GWh of electricity annually. This output will offset approximately 118,725 tons of CO2 emissions each year, reinforcing Indonesia’s commitment to cleaner energy sources.
Covering 80 hectares, this solar farm not only ranks as the country’s largest but also employs cutting-edge bifacial technology, which maximises energy capture by absorbing sunlight from both sides of the panels.
