Skyjack Unveils Next-Gen Access Innovations at bauma
Celebrating 40 years of lifting innovation, Skyjack is rolling into bauma 2025 with a bang.
The global access equipment manufacturer has pulled out all the stops, showcasing a refreshed and future-focused line-up that includes two European show debuts: their game-changing E-Drive scissor lifts and the much-anticipated hybrid rough terrain boom lifts.
E-Drive Scissors Take the Stage
Skyjack’s E-Drive range is stealing the spotlight this year, marking its first-ever European appearance. This all-electric scissor lift line-up is designed to elevate performance with enhanced torque, superior controllability, and increased operational efficiency. Designed with job site practicality in mind, the E-Drive series delivers improved runtimes and cleaner operation, making it ideal for both indoor and outdoor tasks.
“We’re thrilled to showcase our expanded E-Drive line in their European show debut,” said Charlie Patterson, President of Skyjack. “These scissors boost productivity with an improvement of up to 20% in runtime per charge, while consistent power, traction, torque make these scissor lifts an ideal choice for a wide range of indoor and outdoor applications. We’re happy to have our SJ3219 E, SJ3226 E and SJ4740 E on hand to represent the range.”
Attendees can expect a hands-on experience with these new machines, appreciating the fully proportional controls that offer a smoother, more intuitive drive. With reduced maintenance needs and zero emissions, the E-Drive line underscores Skyjack’s commitment to sustainable innovation.
Rough Terrain Meets Clean Energy
Equally impressive is the premiere of Skyjack’s upcoming hybrid rough terrain boom range. These versatile machines offer three operating modes – electric, automatic, and manual – providing unmatched flexibility on the job site. Whether you’re indoors or out in the rough, the new SJ45 AJHE + and SJ60 AJHE + models have you covered.
“Our new range of hybrid rough terrain booms is another machine that we’re looking forward to showcasing on stand at bauma,” Patterson added. “This new boom line provides a clean, quiet and sustainable rental solution while meeting true job site performance expectations.”
With working heights of 15.7m (51ft) and 20.1m (66ft), these machines are engineered for durability and adaptability, carrying over signature Skyjack features such as simplified maintenance access and robust, operator-friendly design. The SJ45 AJHE + will be on display for up-close inspection.
All-Electric Rough Terrain Booms
Building on their sustainability mission, Skyjack will also be displaying their battery-powered articulated booms – the SJ45 AJE + and the SJ60 AJE +. These models deliver exceptional duty cycles and are capable of handling a full day’s workload on a single charge. Thanks to their all-electric, axle-based drive, users benefit from superior traction and high torque power across multiple functions.
The SJ60 AJE + will be available for viewing, showcasing how electric power can compete with traditional fuel options when it comes to rugged, real-world performance. Ideal for environmentally-conscious contractors, these booms offer high-performance outcomes without compromising on productivity.
Vertical Versatility
For those navigating tighter, indoor spaces, the SJ20 E vertical mast lift offers an ultra-quiet, zero-emission solution with standout manoeuvrability. A true jack-of-all-trades, the SJ20 E suits everything from industrial maintenance to construction in confined areas.
What really sets it apart is Skyjack’s signature traversing platform, allowing greater reach without repositioning. Its compact design belies the versatility packed into this small-but-mighty unit, making it a must-see at the show.
Muscle on the Move
Skyjack’s workhorse models – the SJ6832 RT and SJ9253 RT – will also make an appearance, offering a reminder of the brand’s legacy in rugged lifting solutions. With generous platform capacities and expansive work areas, these lifts are purpose-built for the harshest of conditions.
They feature class-leading terrain handling, optional self-levelling outriggers, and easy-access service components, making them a no-brainer for construction, industrial, and maintenance applications. Skyjack’s track record for durability and operator comfort is evident in every inch.
Win a Trip to Skyjack HQ
As part of the festivities, Skyjack is running an exciting giveaway throughout bauma 2025. Visitors to the stand at FS.1102/2 can enter a draw to win a trip for three to Skyjack’s headquarters in Canada – a golden opportunity to see where the magic happens and meet the team behind the tech.
This initiative not only adds a touch of fun to the event but also strengthens the brand’s connection with its global audience, giving attendees a first-hand look at the innovation culture driving the next generation of access equipment.
Innovation and Experience Hand-in-Hand
Skyjack’s 40-year journey has been one of relentless innovation, and their bauma 2025 line-up is a reflection of that ethos. From E-Drive scissors and hybrid booms to electric rough terrain lifts and classic mast options, there’s something for every access need. By blending sustainability with real-world performance, Skyjack continues to raise the bar.
Construction professionals, rental fleet operators, and policy makers alike will find plenty to explore and be inspired by. With rising demand for zero-emission equipment and more intelligent job site solutions, Skyjack’s latest innovations couldn’t have come at a better time.
