Soilmec Delivers Engineering Excellence to bauma

At bauma 2025, Soilmec isn’t just showing off machinery; it’s bringing its heart and soul back to the core of construction innovation.

Nestled once again in its traditional location (FN521/9, outdoor drillers’ zone), the Italian manufacturer is making a statement with a reimagined 375-square-metre covered stand. It’s not just about showcasing equipment—it’s about forging deeper connections. From rich Italian cuisine to open spaces made for conversation, Soilmec’s stand is designed as a hub of human interaction, technical dialogue, and bold engineering displays.

Outside, visitors can explore the machines up close, either meandering between displays or relaxing in the covered viewing area. Inside, private offices and a spacious meeting room offer a space to talk shop—whether that’s closing deals or mapping out the future of foundation technology.

The New Blue Tech Plus Line

Arguably the crown jewel of Soilmec’s 2025 showcase is the debut of the Blue Tech Plus line—a leap forward in sustainable power and hydraulic efficiency. Building on the success of the original Blue Tech series, this new range brings smarter fuel use, reduced emissions, and leaner hydraulic systems.

Rather than just tweaking existing models, Soilmec engineers have introduced a game-changing pump-distributor setup that fine-tunes hydraulic oil flow. Less oil in circulation means smaller tanks and lower running costs. But performance? That’s only improved. Quick technology swaps, more responsive controls, and custom operator settings round out the benefits.

Expect this new generation to redefine what it means to combine power and precision in deep foundation work, all while lowering the total cost of ownership.

The Powerhouse of Piling

Soilmec’s SR line, known globally for its sheer power and versatility, takes centre stage with three key models: SR-95, SR-65, and the all-new SR-45 from the Blue Tech Plus line.

  • SR-95 Blue Tech: Weighing in at nearly 100 tonnes, the SR-95 is an engineering beast. It features a Stage V Cummins X15 engine pushing out 610 HP and a 352 kN main winch. It’s also fitted with a Single Layer winch option to reduce rope wear—an operator favourite. The machine thrives in drilled piles, CFA, and Soil Mixing applications. With the telescopic Kelly bar setup on display, it can plunge over 100 metres deep. Tool diameters up to 2.7 metres? Not a problem.
  • SR-65 Blue Tech: Sitting at the sweet spot between mobility and muscle, the SR-65 is Soilmec’s best-seller for a reason. With 258.5 kNm of torque and a winch pulling 330 kN, it punches well above its weight. Plus, it travels fully rigged with its Kelly bar, slashing setup times on site. Its low headroom option is a site-saver where space is tight, while VDW configuration adds serious value for CFA jobs in front-of-wall situations.
  • SR-45 Blue Tech Plus: Making its public debut, the SR-45 embodies the very essence of Blue Tech Plus. Compact yet powerful, this machine targets efficiency, lower emissions, and smarter drilling through a new hydraulic control philosophy. It’s set to become a go-to choice for contractors seeking low-impact, high-output solutions.

Heavy-Duty, High-Tech

When size and strength matter, Soilmec’s SC line rises to the challenge. Featured prominently at Bauma is the SC-130 HD, a true multitasker in the Dynamic Compaction configuration.

This model delivers a 130-ton lift and 53-ton heavy-duty application capacity, making it ideal for large buckets and both Tiger and Cougar hydromills. A powerful Cat C18 engine (available in Stage V or Tier III) powers the unit with 610 HP, while dual winch options—300 kN and 350 kN—cater to a variety of load needs.

At Bauma, the SC-130 HD shows off a 29-metre lattice boom, designed to handle drop weights up to 36 tonnes. It’s a compelling case for why brute strength still needs intelligent design.

The Versatile Micropilers

From tight urban spaces to demanding tie-rod jobs, Soilmec’s SM line has something for every scenario. Three standout models—SM-11, SM-18, and SM-22—will be live and in action.

  • SM-11: Compact and nimble, the SM-11 fits where others can’t. At just 2 metres wide and 11 tonnes, it’s the tool of choice for constrained environments. Multiple rotary head options and a push-pull force of 96 kN give it incredible adaptability. Add in 360° rotation, and it’s clear this little giant means business.
  • SM-18: A modern twist on a veteran performer, the SM-18 gets a power boost with a new 209 kW Cummins engine. It also features a Jet Grouting kit for 27.3-metre single-pass treatments and a 10-rod loader capable of 66-metre drilling. The HR21GV head spins up to 446 rpm, adding precision to its proven durability.
  • SM-22: The muscle of the micropile range, SM-22 brings 22 tonnes of stability to tie rod and anchor work. Adjustable stabilisers and a 10.2-metre stroke enable safe 27-metre tie rods. It’s equipped with a 150 kN gear motor, HR3700 rotary head, and a new 1-metre telescopic extractor for those tough extraction jobs.
