Step into the Spotlight at Digital Construction North 2025

After a spectacular debut last year, Digital Construction North (DCN) is making a much-anticipated return to Manchester Central on 19 November 2025. Designed for built environment professionals with a keen eye on digital innovation, this one-day event is now opening its doors to speakers eager to inspire, share, and shape the future of the AECO sector.

Organised by the same powerhouse team behind Digital Construction Week (DCW), this northern edition serves as a dynamic, no-nonsense version of the flagship London event. It brings together architects, engineers, contractors, developers, and tech pioneers for a day packed with ideas, tech showcases, and invaluable networking opportunities. And best of all? Entry’s completely free.

Speak up, stand out

There’s no better way to make waves in the digital construction community than to take the mic yourself. Whether you’re a seasoned voice or fresh to the circuit, DCN 2025 offers a rare platform to spotlight your work, stir up discussion, and connect with an engaged, regional audience.

Applications are now open for the speaker programme, with the deadline closing fast on 8 August 2025. If you’re doing ground-breaking work in AI, BIM, robotics, Smart Cities, or any corner of the digital built environment, now’s your time to pitch an idea that could become the highlight of the event.

Karolina Orecchini, Event Director, urges professionals from all walks of the AECO world to step forward: “Whether your focus is on Digital Twins, AI, robotics, modular construction, DfMA, Smart Cities, IoT, cloud platforms, AR/VR, or anything else at the cutting edge, we want to hear from you.”

“There’s no limit on the number of entries, so don’t hold back. Submit multiple ideas if you have them.”

Five theatres, three open stages

Digital Construction North isn’t just about tech demos and product launches. It’s about conversations that matter. This year’s event features five theatres, three of which are now open for speaker submissions:

Information Management Stage (IMS)

This is the space for diving deep into BIM and digital information strategies. If you have a project that proves the real-world business value of structured information management, this is where to showcase it.

Speakers are encouraged to focus on:

  • Tangible project outcomes
  • Process improvements
  • Strategic digital workflows

Innovation Stage

This one’s for the true pioneers. The Innovation Stage is hunting for ideas that challenge assumptions and look to the future. If your work is pushing the limits of tech in construction, from generative design to autonomous machinery, it belongs here.

Think:

  • Disruptive technologies
  • R&D breakthroughs
  • Future-gazing discussions

Transformation Hub

For those with insight into the strategic side of things, the Transformation Hub is all about practical digital change. If you’re helping businesses adapt and thrive in an evolving industry, your expertise is needed.

Hot topics include:

  • Business model adaptation
  • Digital leadership
  • Change management in construction

Karolina adds: “Digital Construction North is a space for everyone in the built environment community. We want fresh ideas, new faces, and unique perspectives. If you’ve got something to say, this is your stage.”

A launchpad for fresh voices

Newcomers and underrepresented voices are not only welcomed, they’re actively encouraged. Public speaking can be daunting, but the DCN team is committed to helping speakers succeed, regardless of experience. From guidance on presentation prep to making you feel at ease on the day, the team is in your corner.

“DCN is committed to creating a more inclusive and representative industry. If you’re new to public speaking, don’t worry – we’re here to support you,” says Karolina.

Who should apply?

DCN is casting its net wide. Proposals are welcomed from:

  • Architects, engineers, contractors, and consultants
  • Developers, clients, and asset owners
  • Researchers, academics, and students
  • Technology vendors and software developers

They’re looking for:

  • Case studies
  • Research findings
  • Panel discussions
  • Debates
  • Product intros
  • Best practice workshops

Why DCN matters

The North of England is a hotbed of construction and infrastructure innovation. From Manchester’s evolving skyline to digital retrofit projects across Leeds, Sheffield, and Liverpool, the region is a living laboratory for digital transformation. DCN gives this regional dynamism a national platform.

Last year’s event drew in around 1,000 professionals, and 2025 is expected to surpass that. The event bridges the gap between the latest tech and those tasked with using it. For AECO firms and innovators, that means access to the decision-makers who matter.

Apply before the window closes

The application deadline is 8 August 2025. Want the full lowdown on what to expect? Explore the programme and speaking guidelines at: www.digitalconstructionnorth.com/speaking-at-dcn

This isn’t just another date in the diary – it’s a chance to shape how construction thinks, talks, and transforms. Whether you’re pitching new tech, sharing hard-won lessons, or just stepping up for the first time, DCN 2025 could be your launchpad.

Opportunities Await in Manchester

Digital Construction North is carving out a vital niche for the Northern construction scene. With the spotlight on real solutions, tangible innovation, and inclusive voices, it’s the kind of event that doesn’t just talk about the future – it builds it.

If you’re passionate about progress and ready to speak up, now’s your moment.
