PlantWorx 2025 Where Innovation Meets the Future of Construction

From 23–25 September 2025, Newark Showground will transform into a hub of machinery, technology, and live demonstrations as PlantWorx returns for its biggest event yet.

With more than 300 exhibitors, including 16 of the world’s top 50 equipment manufacturers, the UK’s largest working construction exhibition is set to deliver a compelling mix of cutting-edge product launches, sustainable solutions, and industry-defining showcases.

A Showground Alive with Activity

Spanning an area equivalent to ten Premier League football pitches, PlantWorx offers a rare opportunity to see the industry in full flow. Visitors can test-drive machinery, explore safety innovations, and engage directly with the engineers and designers shaping tomorrow’s construction sites. The indoor tech zone promises a deep dive into automation, connectivity, and control systems designed to improve site efficiency and safety.

Highlights include the Awesome Earthmovers Operators Challenge, in association with JCB, where the UK’s top operators battle for precision and skill, and the all-new Site Sustainability Showcase, offering practical, lower-carbon solutions ranging from hydrogen-powered plant to advanced battery storage.

Global Brands and New Machines

PlantWorx 2025’s exhibitor list reads like a who’s who of the construction industry. Heavyweights such as Caterpillar (via Finning), JCB, XCMG, Kubota, HD Hyundai, SANY, Manitou, Fayat, Shantui, Takeuchi, Lonking, Sunward, Hidromek, Merlo, Yanmar, and Zoomlion will be joined by hundreds of specialist suppliers.

Major launches include next-generation electric excavators, hybrid lighting systems, hydrogen-powered plant, and fully integrated telematics. From compact track loaders to high-capacity telehandlers, exhibitors are ready to unveil technology aimed at boosting productivity while reducing environmental impact.

Spotlight on Sustainability

Sustainability is more than a buzzword at PlantWorx 2025. The Site Sustainability Showcase will spotlight practical solutions already making a difference on construction sites. Headline sponsor Prolectric will demonstrate its ProCharge three-phase Solar Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), a 5,280W solar array with 120kWh of storage designed to replace or complement diesel generators. Trials with Kier’s A417 project saved £32,000 in five months and cut carbon by 150,000 kg CO₂e annually.

Groundhog UK’s mobile solar-hybrid units, JCB’s hydrogen internal combustion engine, and a raft of battery-powered machinery will also feature. Visitors can see how these technologies integrate into live sites without compromising on performance.

Innovation Awards and Cutting-Edge Technology

The PlantWorx Innovation Awards will once again celebrate the most ground-breaking products across the sector. Winners will be showcased throughout the exhibition, giving visitors a chance to see award-winning technology in action.

Advanced safety systems will also take centre stage. Xwatch Safety Solutions will debut the MK2 system, featuring faster installation, patent-pending proportional motion control, and integration with the XW-INSITE telematics platform for real-time safety data.

Big Names, Big Launches

  • JCB will present the 8008E CTS electric micro excavator alongside its latest civil engineering and utilities-focused machines, while promoting its pioneering hydrogen engine.
  • Takeuchi brings a fresh line-up including the TB320 2-tonne excavator, the TB370W wheeled excavator, and its most powerful electric model, the TB35e.
  • XCMG will launch the XC7-TV12 compact track loader and XC908HST compact wheel loader, targeting efficiency and manoeuvrability.
  • SANY UK is set to make multiple UK debuts, from micro excavators to electric crawler machines, and will host its own Operator Challenge.
  • HD Hyundai Construction Equipment will reveal the HX360L crawler excavator, HX19e electric mini, and its first ever dozer, the HD130A.
  • Merlo UK will showcase its award-winning eWorker 25.5 electric telehandler and a full telehandler range up to the 30m ROTO 50.30SPLUS.
  • Zoomlion will feature the ZE55GU compact excavator, ZE27GU mini excavator, and ZS090V compact loader, blending comfort with performance.

A Strong Attachments Sector

The attachments market will be well represented, with Rototilt, Miller, Auger Torque, Worsley Plant, Arden Equipment, Digga Europe, Con Mech Engineers, Movax, and others demonstrating everything from tiltrotators to advanced pile drivers.

Notable debuts include Worsley Plant’s Rotar RSS X-Series scrap shears and Dynaset HRVB Hydraulic Recycling Vacuum Bucket, designed to streamline waste handling.

Hands-On Demonstrations

Live demo zones will give visitors the chance to put machinery through its paces. From Merlo telehandlers to SANY excavators, equipment will be working in real conditions so potential buyers can see capabilities first-hand.

Robustrack’s Laurini Settanta demolition machine, Probst’s cordless SM 1200 vacuum lifter, and Red Rhino’s electric trommel will be among the innovations tested live.

New Faces at PlantWorx

PlantWorx 2025 will welcome several first-time exhibitors. Totalkare will showcase heavy-duty workshop equipment, Towmate Trailers will launch its Raptor 125 LaySAFE® trailer for coiled pipe laying, and Kramp will present its construction-focused spare parts and storage solutions.

Padley & Venables will unveil the Ninja Rock Drilling Bits, while NASCO Digtec will introduce the Makin’ 3D GPS machine control system to the UK market.
