CASE Expands Midi Excavator Line-up with New E-Series Models
CASE Construction Equipment has unveiled its latest Evolution E-Series midi excavators, designed to tackle jobs across the 8–10 tonne segment.
With configurations to suit virtually every site condition, the new range demonstrates CASE’s commitment to versatility, operator comfort, and digital connectivity.
A Range Built for Choice
The E-Series introduces three new midi models: CX85E, CX90E, and CX100E. Each model has been carefully engineered to give contractors options that match their working environments.
- CX85E: A zero-tail swing machine with a fixed mono boom, weighing 8,830kg. Its design mirrors full-size crawler models while retaining compact dimensions for tight jobsites.
- CX90E: Weighing 9,210kg, this unit provides a boom swing solution akin to mini excavators, giving operators improved manoeuvrability in confined areas.
- CX100E: At 10,080kg, the largest in the group offers a zero-tail swing layout, a two-piece articulating boom (TAB), and boom swing capability for maximum reach and dump height.
CASE also allows additional stability options. The CX85E and CX90E can be fitted with an extra 440kg counterweight, while the CX100E carries this as standard. For heavy-duty lifts, an external 900kg counterweight is also available, without compromising the zero-tail swing design.
Engine Power and Hydraulic Precision
All three excavators run on a 53.7kW (73hp) diesel engine, balancing performance with efficiency. A variable displacement hydraulic pump enables three preset operating modes—Economy, Standard, and Power—plus a programmable Individual setting tailored to operator preference.
Up to three auxiliary hydraulic circuits ensure smooth operation of attachments, with fingertip control delivered through electro-proportional roller switches built into the joysticks. This design maximises efficiency and keeps operators in full control of performance.
Operator-Focused Cab
The Evolution E-Series places operator comfort and usability front and centre. CASE has integrated joystick travel mode, enabling all tracking functions to be controlled from the left-hand joystick. This is especially helpful for tasks such as dozer blade backfilling.
Dual-speed transmission with automatic downshift delivers traction across varied ground conditions. Inside the cab, operators can select from three seat types—mechanical, pneumatic suspension, or heated options—while ergonomically positioned controls reduce fatigue.
Visibility has been carefully enhanced. Air conditioning components are housed within the rear roof spoiler to improve the operator’s view. Combined with rear-view mirrors, cameras, and high-performance LED lighting, the cab ensures all-round awareness in any weather.
Service Made Simple
CASE has designed the new midi models with ease of servicing in mind.
Wide doors and a tilting cab allow access to all major service points, while filters and fill points can be reached at ground level.
A reversible fan drive clears dust and debris from the cooling system, further reducing downtime.
Backed by CASE Services
As with all CASE machines, the new E-Series excavators are supported by the company’s full suite of aftersales services. CASE Protect offers extended warranty options, while CASE Care delivers tailored planned maintenance programmes. Customers can also opt for fluid sampling and regular inspections by trained CASE technicians, reducing operating costs in the long run.
Integrated telematics bring the machines firmly into the digital era. Real-time data transmission and smart alerts support both dealers and customers, enabling proactive maintenance and reducing unplanned downtime.
Dealers gain remote access to machine health, while customers benefit from the myCASEConstruction app, which consolidates machine insights, jobsite management, and performance data in one place.
A Full-Line Manufacturer
CASE’s expanded midi range is part of its broader commitment to offering a comprehensive construction equipment portfolio.
From backhoe loaders and wheel loaders to dozers, skid steers, and compact track loaders, the company supports contractors worldwide with equipment designed to meet modern construction challenges.
Driving Efficiency and Innovation
The Evolution E-Series underscores CASE’s strategy: building machines that combine strength, intelligence, and usability.
By offering flexible configurations, advanced hydraulic systems, operator-focused cabins, and digital connectivity, CASE is helping contractors drive productivity while managing costs.
