Tesmec 1150 Rock Hawg Concrete Pavement Breaking in Kiev
This video filmed in Kiev, Russia shows the Tesmec 1150 Rock Hawg surface miner being used to break a concrete pavement on highway No 1.
Made in Italy, Tesmec Rock Hawg surface miners were designed for bulk excavation projects and continuous surface mining in open-pit quarries applications to provide the best cost efficiency and productivity avoiding the primary crushing.
The Rock Hawg version of the 1150XHD model has been designed for continuous surface mining with its 3.12 metre wide drum which can trench to 50 cm depth. Weighing in at over 50 metric ton it features a 440hp CAT C13 ACERT Tier 3 engine, elevating cab, hydraulic stabilizers and TrenchTronic 3.0 equipped. It can work up-cutting or down-cutting by simply changing the attachment.
Following several years of development, Tesmec has recently introduced the new control system – TrenchTronic 3.0 for their trenchers and surface miner range. The new control system improve ease of use of the trencher, increased performance and productivity and makes it less dependent on operator skills. The system is modular and built for reliability to monitor all critical data of the machine, including operating parameters, engine data, hydraulic system data, and diagnostic data, which is transmitted regularly via a GPRS system where it can be monitored remotely.
