Envirobuild aims to protect over 40,000 acres of rainforest through Rainforest Donations

EnviroBuild, the leading sustainable construction company, aims to protect over 40,000 acres of rainforest this year by donating 10% of their profits to the Rainforest Trust and Ocean Cleanup.

Ocean Cleanup is an organisation that collects plastic in the ocean through long catchment lines and recycles the plastic once recovered.

This projected amount is triple last year’s donations, in which EnviroBuild managed to protect 14,440 acres of rainforest with their donations to the trust.

EnviroBuild, the leading sustainable construction company, aims to protect over 40,000 acres of rainforest this year by donating 10% of their profits to the Rainforest Trust and Ocean Cleanup.

Dr Aidan Bell, co-founder of EnviroBuild comments, “This year’s’ donation to Rainforest Trust sits alongside EnviroBuild’s sustainable mission statement, which ensures all our products use majority recycled material and can be recycled again at the end of their life. In this way, not only are we working towards protecting large areas of the rainforest being destroyed, we are also reducing the amount of trees felled and plastics going to landfill and being incinerated.”

EnviroBuild’s commitment to sustainability goes beyond their products; the company only buy second hand furniture and IT equipment for their office, over 50% of employees cycle to work and within the next couple of weeks they’re moving to a workspace that specifically supports sustainability focused companies.
