Liebherr can now offer another silo variant for its concrete batching plants: A mobile tower silo for the storage of aggregate complements Liebherr’s concrete batching plant product range.

In addition to the three – six chamber inline silo, a tower silo for aggregate storage can now be selected. This option is available for Betomix 2.25 – 3.0 and Mobilmix 2.5-F plant types.

The mobile tower silo concept provides a range of advantages: the vertical construction makes it possible to have a high storage volume where space is limited and the container modules can be put together quickly and easily. When trialled with Liebherr first customer, the mechanical construction was completed in just five hours.

A bucket elevator combined with a feeding hopper can be positioned either laterally or at the front in order to bring the aggregates into the different compartments.

Depending on the number of stacked modules, storage volumes of up to 500 m³ are achievable. Liebherr offers a number of between five and seven chambers, with the possibility of storing up to seven different types of rock. The silo chambers can also be heated for uninterrupted operating during winter months.
