Ringway has been awarded a one-year extension to its term service contract in Bracknell Forest.

The yearly extension is the third in succession and added to the original seven-year contract which started in 2014. The contract can be extended annually for a further four years based on performance.

The decision was confirmed at the Ringway/Bracknell Forest AGM on 26 March and it means Ringway will have provided the term maintenance services across the Bracknell Forest Borough for at least 10 years.

Chris Edwards, Ringway Bracknell Forest Divisional Manager, said: “This is superb news and a credit to the team I work with in Bracknell. The industry, budgets and the way we provide services to our client is changing. We in Ringway Bracknell have also changed over the last year and are now in a stronger position to evolve and support Bracknell Forest to meet the opportunities and challenges it faces over the next decade.

“The contract extension has provided a great platform to develop our existing employees and attract new people into the industry.”

The extension of the contract comes following a year of in which they received the best possible Lost Time Injury Frequency Rate (LTIFR) and Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations (RIDDOR) ratings of zero and sustained positive improvement to Key Strategic Performance Indicators.

Ringway Bracknell Forest will continue to deliver major transportation schemes over the coming years, in addition to the core highways contract.
