Parsons awarded Nevada Traffic Safety Engineering Design Contract

Parsons was recently awarded a 2-year services agreement to provide traffic safety engineering design services to the Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT). The firm has been providing traffic safety engineering services to NDOT for the past 10 years.

The first firm to deliver a design project through the NDOT Traffic Safety Engineering Department, the company will continue to provide design services for state-wide projects that integrate safety engineering improvements to reduce traffic-related fatalities and serious injuries. The firm coordinates with state and local agencies in alignment with Nevada’s Strategic Highway Safety Plan.

“We’re proud to have successfully implemented all of Nevada DOT’s projects to date without requiring additional right-of-way, and we’ve kept projects on target for construction,” said Mike Johnson, Parsons Group President. “Our team is thrilled to continue improving traffic safety throughout Nevada—using innovation and technology to help people safely reach their destinations.”

The projects include design of roadways, roundabouts, pedestrian-crossing and access improvements, traffic calming, bike lanes, and street lighting.

Parsons is a digitally enabled solutions provider focused on the defence, security, and infrastructure markets. With nearly 75 years of experience, the company is uniquely qualified to deliver cyber/converged security, technology-based intellectual property, and other innovative services to federal, regional, and local government agencies, as well as to private industrial customers worldwide.
