TMP teams up with Ecologi on Climate Positive Campaign
Traffic Management Products Ltd (TMP) are very excited to launch their new Climate Positive Campaign.
Recognising their responsibility to help protect the planet, for future generations, they are fully committed to minimising their impact on the environment and aim to support those working to improve global environmental sustainability.
To support this ambition, TMP is putting in place a number of environmentally positive initiatives that will help reduce the amount of raw materials they use, the energy they consume, and positively engage with their customers and suppliers.
The first item in the Climate Positive campaign is committing to plant a tree for every product sold from 1st January 2021.
To aid the initiative and make the whole process fully transparent, TMP have teamed up with Ecologi.
Ecologi is an environmental organisation that fund climate offset projects and tree planting around the world.
A new Ecologi Profile page for TMP verifies the tonnes of carbon that are reduced and the number of trees planted every month. It’s even possible to show how many trees relate to each project if you ask them.
TMP is also building a Climate Positive section on their website. This new section will show precisely how many saplings planted each month, how that relates to the number of tonnes of CO² they will remove each year and how that relates to their other climate positive actions.
TMP is not stopping there either; planting trees is just the start. TMP is moving its vehicle fleet to electric, with ¼ of the fleet already being electric as of December 2020.
In addition, TMP is in the final stages of testing to allow the use of recycled material in all their bollard products. TMP’s bollards are already recyclable at the end of their life, but using recycled material in the manufacturing will help reduce the use of raw materials and reduce the amount of plastic that goes to landfill.
