The best Plastics Sustainability innovations to be decided at GRIPS
Innovators in plastics sustainability are invited to submit their work for the GRIPS Most Innovative Award, by 5.30pm GMT on Friday 25 February.
The world-leading Global Research Innovation in Plastics Sustainability (GRIPS) conference, organised by Innovate UK KTN and hosted by UK Circular Plastics Network, will this year award the best idea, innovation, and/or technical advancement in plastics sustainability with the title of GRIPS Most Innovative.
Dr Sally Beken, Founder of the UK Circular Plastics Network and Knowledge Transfer manager at Innovate UK KTN, says: “There are countless opportunities for innovation in the lifecycle of plastics to improve their sustainability. One thing we really love about GRIPS is the opportunity to learn about the latest projects and plans from the 50 exhibitors and the 80 expert speakers that are signed up to take part. We wanted to take that a step further this year and recognise the most impactful or out-of-the-box innovations in plastics sustainability from around the world.
“We’ve made the entry criteria as simple and straightforward as possible to encourage all those busy teams to take part. This is the very first year we will be awarding the title of GRIPS Most Innovative, so you could say it’s historic. Don’t miss out!”
Plastics sustainability innovators are asked to simply submit a 2-minute video describing their work using the front-facing camera of a smart phone, in portrait orientation. The videos will be played at the conference, which already has more than 1,000 delegates signed up from nearly every sector around the world. The winner will be decided by the delegates.
