Truckman, the UK’s leading manufacturer and distributor of pick-up truck and 4×4 accessories, has helped kit out a new fleet of pick-ups with their hardtops and bedliners for a highway maintenance specialist.

Wolverhampton-based highways drainage company DDC Engineering acquired five new pick-ups to support its Technical Survey and Testing contract for highways maintenance in the South East and chose Truckman accessories to help secure the truck beds whilst out on the road.

Its services include Topographical and Measured Surveys, project management and utility services and work with significant clients including Rolls Royce, Kier Group and Balfour Beatty.

To support its engineers’ field-based operations, they added Truckman S-Series hardtops to the Nissan Navara NP300 pick-up trucks, as well as durable’5-piece’ TPE constructed Sportguard bedliners, which features a non-slip floor and a tight, seamless snap to fit installation.

The Truckman S-Series is a popular luxury hardtop for business use, thanks to its all-round access gull-wing side doors which helps provide engineers easy access to kit and equipment in the truck bed.  Highly secure and colour-coded to the pick-up truck, the S-Series features lockable side gull-wing doors, which are available with either solid or glazed side doors as well as a roof-mounted, door-operated, automatic LED light and integrated remote central locking on the rear door to keep the truck bed secure.

Waqar Tahir, Site and Resource Coordinator at DDC Engineering, said: “We use our pick-up fleet to undertake specialist highway drainage works across the South East and the Truckman hardtops and bedliners create a safe and secure place for our equipment as we travel between sites.

“Our experience with Truckman from initial contact all the way to delivery was brilliant and its team provided us with the highest quality installation service to assist in protecting our newest fleet members to ensure they deliver long-term value to our business.”

Simon Morley, Fleet Sales Manager at Truckman, said: “Our accessories provide multiple practical benefits to commercial users such as DDC Engineering.  The security and accessibility they offer enhance the practicality of the pick-up trucks and offer peace of mind when transporting valuable tools and equipment.

“As a national company working with customers across the UK, we’re really proud to be supporting a local company with products that will help them in the delivery of significant projects outside our region.”
