Kapsch TrafficCom awarded Tolling Maintenance Contract for Oresund Bridge

Kapsch TrafficCom has signed a new maintenance contract for the iconic Oresund Bridge that connects Denmark and Sweden.

The contract is set to run from February 2026 until January 2031 and has a base volume of slightly above EUR 3 million, with the possibility of reaching EUR 6 million depending on upcoming change requests.

We are delighted that we were awarded with the extension of our collaboration for the further maintenance and development of the tolling and point-of-sales technology on this iconic and important bridge,” comments Michael Weber, Head of Sales EMENA at Kapsch TrafficCom. “With almost 600,000 vehicles passing the bridge every month, it is a significant positive factor of integration of the two regions.”

As part of the agreement, Kapsch TrafficCom is delivering ongoing maintenance of the existing tolling roadside system, including cameras and other sensors. The company also provides point of sales software and hardware, enabling a stress-free and comfortable bridge tolling experience for drivers.
