Enhanced VR with Resolve App Portal to connect 3D and 2D Construction Data

Resolve, the leading virtual reality solution for the construction industry, is excited to announce the launch of a new feature that brings construction project data into VR and enhances the way buildings are reviewed before they’re built.

Resolve’s App Portal allows design and construction professionals to access popular construction applications directly within Resolve’s immersive VR application for Meta Quest.

With this new feature, users can seamlessly access and interact with 2D drawings, dashboards, and issue databases while reviewing 3D models in an immersive virtual environment. The App Portal empowers construction teams to identify and resolve potential issues more effectively by providing immediate access to critical information from 2D data sources, without the need to remove their VR headsets.

The App Portal is launching with four key integrations: Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), Autodesk BIM 360, Procore, and Newforma Konekt. This ensures that users can easily access and utilize their existing project data within the Resolve platform.

Key Features and Benefits

  • Seamless Integration: Access your project data hosted on Autodesk Construction Cloud, Procore, and Newforma Konekt directly from within VR so you have the information you need when you need it.
  • Increased Efficiency: Eliminate the need to switch between VR and your 2D monitor, streamlining the workflow and saving valuable time.
  • Enhanced Collaboration: Share and pin 2D screenshots within the virtual model for team members to reference.

“At Resolve, we are committed to providing innovative solutions that improve the construction process and we also believe 2D data still holds an important place in the industry. This new feature allows our users to fully leverage all their project data, leading to better decision-making and increased project efficiency,” shared Angel Say, CEO Resolve.

Building with Partners

Dave McCool, Director of Product, Procore, said: “The enhanced integration of Procore into Resolve’s application empowers project teams to leverage Procore data like never before. This integration supports project coordination and stakeholder engagement with critical project data in a whole new way, within Resolve’s virtual experience.”

Antony Roy, Product Expert, Newforma, said: “Integrating Newforma Konekt with Resolve’s VR platform unlocks powerful new workflows tailored to our customers’ needs. Action items and documents stored in Newforma Konekt can be reviewed alongside immersive 3D models, enabling early identification and resolution of potential issues in the project lifecycle. We look forward to strengthening our ongoing partnership with Resolve.”
