Revolutionary Product Premieres
Liebherr is renowned for unveiling world-class innovations at bauma, and 2025 is no exception. Among the highlights, the T 38-7s telescopic handler debuts as part of the sixth-generation range, setting new benchmarks in its segment. Another standout is the T 48-8s, Liebherr’s strategic foray into the 8-metre class, further cementing its leadership in earthmoving technology.
In the outdoor area, Liebherr’s concrete technology segment introduces the new Mobilmix series. With its modular construction, the Mobilmix offers unprecedented flexibility in plant configuration, shorter delivery times, and enhanced energy efficiency—cutting energy consumption by up to 30%. Meanwhile, the twin-shaft mixer design ensures optimal weighing accuracy, reducing cement waste by up to 8 kg per cubic metre.
Additional debuts include advanced crawler cranes, deep foundation machines, and mining trucks, all demonstrating Liebherr’s commitment to efficiency and sustainability.
InnovationLab
The InnovationLab, located in the outdoor area at booth 810, is the epicentre of Liebherr’s forward-thinking technologies. Here, visitors can interact with pioneering concepts that push the boundaries of construction machinery. From object identification systems to autonomous operations, the Lab showcases how camera systems, sensors, and predictive maintenance are transforming the industry.
Marcel Flir, Head of Digital Business and Strategy at Liebherr, explains: “Digitalisation is one of the most significant areas of activity of our time. Though it may often seem abstract, it is always centred around people and real added value. Our goal is to establish practical benefits that extend beyond value chains.”
Digitalisation Driving Autonomy and Safety
Liebherr’s digitalisation efforts are paving the way for machine autonomy and enhanced safety on construction sites. At bauma, the spotlight falls on intelligent machine controls, assistance systems, and semi-autonomous processes. These innovations aim to reduce downtime, minimise energy consumption, and improve operator experience.
The highlight is the autonomous working wheel loader, powered by Liebherr Autonomous Operations technology. This driverless machine showcases the potential of autonomous solutions in transforming construction efficiency. Additionally, the new PR 776 G8 crawler dozer features Liebherr’s Remote Control System (LiReCon), allowing for safe and flexible operation in challenging environments.
For crane operators, Liebherr’s new K series fast-erecting crane integrates advanced assistance systems that enhance precision and safety. Features like swing-free lifting reduce risks while simplifying operations.
Intelligent Networking at Work
Liebherr Connect, the Group’s state-of-the-art connectivity solution, takes centre stage. This platform interlinks machines and systems, enabling seamless data access and advanced fleet management. Integrated with the MyLiebherr portal, operators can monitor and evaluate machine performance in real-time, improving decision-making and operational efficiency.
One standout example is the LTM 1120-4.2 mobile crane equipped with LICCON3 control. When combined with Liebherr Connect, this system provides a comprehensive overview of operational metrics, ensuring optimal performance.
Sustainability Through Innovation
Liebherr’s commitment to sustainability is evident in its exploration of alternative drive technologies. The Group’s first hydrogen-powered wheel loader, showcased as a prototype, is a milestone in decarbonisation. Hydrogen, as a carbon-neutral energy source, offers immense potential for large vehicles where battery solutions may fall short.
The battery-driven and autonomous T 264 mining truck also highlights Liebherr’s zero-emissions agenda. Developed in collaboration with Fortescue, this truck integrates an advanced energy management system, optimising charging processes and maximising efficiency.
Other innovations include the LR 1300.2 SX crawler crane, available in a ‘zero emissions’ battery-powered version. Its 392-kWh battery provides up to 13 hours of operation on a single charge, showcasing how sustainability and performance can go hand-in-hand.
A Pillar of Liebherr’s Legacy
As a globally active, family-run company, Liebherr places immense value on corporate responsibility. From data protection to environmental stewardship, the Group ensures its operations align with ethical and sustainable practices. This commitment extends to product quality, customer satisfaction, and transparent data management.
Liebherr’s guiding principle is simple: a company can only thrive in the long term if it takes responsibility for its impact on society and the environment. This ethos underscores every innovation and initiative presented at bauma 2025.
Shaping the Future of Construction
With its ground-breaking exhibits and unwavering commitment to innovation, Liebherr is setting the stage for a more efficient, sustainable, and technology-driven construction industry.
bauma 2025 is more than just an exhibition; it’s a window into the future of construction—one that Liebherr is shaping with every new development.
