OilQuick Announces Pink Coupler Auction to help Fight Breast Cancer
OilQuick AB has once again placed social responsibility at the heart of its operations, using industrial innovation to fuel charitable action.
The Swedish company is auctioning a unique, fully automatic pink OQL quick coupler for Volvo wheel loaders (L70 to L120), with the entire proceeds supporting the Swedish Cancer Societyβs Pink Ribbon campaign. Valued at SEK 133,400, this striking piece of equipment represents far more than its engineering, it symbolises resilience, solidarity, and the urgent need to fund life-saving cancer research.
The online auction, hosted on Klaravik.se, runs from 23 to 30 October, giving contractors, equipment owners, and supporters the chance to bid for a piece of machinery that blends strength with compassion.
OilQuickβs Commitment to Charity
For OilQuick, giving back isnβt a seasonal gesture, itβs built into the companyβs long-term strategy. Each year, the business supports a range of charitable organisations, but the Pink Ribbon campaign holds a special place. By auctioning this limited-edition coupler, the company isnβt just raising funds, itβs sparking vital conversations in an industry where cancer awareness may not always be front of mind.
Henrik Sonerud, CEO of OilQuick AB, underscored the importance of this initiative: βWe are proud to take an even bigger step in supporting the Pink Ribbon campaign this year by auctioning our specially designed pink OQL quick coupler, valued at SEK 133,400. Almost everyone knows someone affected by cancer, and through this initiative we hope to make a difference. We are donating 100% of the auction proceeds directly to the Swedish Cancer Society and their invaluable work.β
Maximising the Impact
The campaign has attracted the strong backing of Klaravik, Swedenβs leading online auction platform. By waiving all administrative and auction fees, Klaravik ensures that every krona raised goes directly to the Swedish Cancer Society. This approach amplifies the potential of the initiative, allowing the symbolic pink coupler to raise tangible funds for ground-breaking research.
Karin Malmberg, CMO at Klaravik, explained: βWhat an important auction and a fantastic initiative! When OilQuick approached us, we were of course eager to get involved and do our bit. Weβll do our utmost to give the auction as much attention as possible, thereby increasing the chances of raising more funds for cancer research.β
A Global Movement
The Pink Ribbon campaign is one of the worldβs most recognisable charity initiatives. Launched in Sweden in 2003, it has raised over SEK 1.3 billion for cancer research, funding some of the countryβs most promising projects. While its symbol is specific to breast cancer, the funds generated often extend to broader cancer research, enabling breakthroughs across multiple forms of the disease.
For heavy equipment manufacturers and operators, this initiative highlights how even the most industrial sectors can unite with humanitarian causes. A wheel loader coupler may seem an unusual symbol, yet its transformation into a vibrant pink statement piece demonstrates the power of visibility in driving awareness.
The Technology Behind the Coupler
While the charity angle is key, the pink OQL quick coupler also showcases OilQuickβs engineering excellence. The system allows wheel loader operators to change attachments directly from the cab in seconds, improving efficiency and safety on site. Whether switching from log forks to sweepers, high-dumping buckets to bale clamps, the coupler ensures machines are always equipped with the right tool.
This functionality has made OilQuickβs technology a standard across construction, forestry, and industrial applications. By choosing a pink variant, the company has cleverly fused performance with purpose, ensuring that whoever wins the auction takes home both a cutting-edge machine tool and a powerful story.
OilQuickβs Global Reach
Headquartered in Hudiksvall, Sweden, OilQuick has expanded into multiple international markets. The company develops, manufactures, and sells fully automatic coupler systems for excavators, wheel loaders, forklift trucks, cranes, and material handling equipment. With tiltrotator systems available for excavators ranging from 6 to 33 tonnes, its technology is helping shape safer and more efficient worksites around the globe.
The auction underscores how manufacturers can leverage their global presence for good. OilQuickβs products may be known for their technical edge, but this initiative demonstrates that industrial progress and social responsibility can go hand in hand.

Industry Standing Shoulder to Shoulder
Cancer affects people across every walk of life, including construction professionals, suppliers, and contractors. The Pink Ribbon auction is therefore more than just a fundraising drive, itβs an invitation for the industry to stand shoulder to shoulder with those affected. By bidding, companies not only gain a valuable asset but also align themselves with a cause that resonates far beyond the jobsite.
The collaboration between OilQuick and Klaravik is a shining example of how businesses can work together to amplify charitable outcomes. By combining engineering ingenuity, digital platforms, and public goodwill, the initiative demonstrates a blueprint for future campaigns across other sectors.
A Positive Step Forward
With the auction running from 23 to 30 October, stakeholders across the industry have a short but powerful window to take part. Bidders wonβt just be competing for a piece of high-performance kit; theyβll be contributing to a campaign that has already transformed lives and will continue to do so for years to come.
This isnβt just about a coupler, itβs about community, solidarity, and the belief that industries as rugged as construction can also be engines of compassion.
