In February 2020, the specialist in the design and manufacture of sun visors for the automotive industry turned to Effidence to complete its process. The aim of the solution: to convey parts from the storage area to the multiple production stations.

The industrialization manager at Daimay: “We met Effidence during the 2019 edition of the Smart Industries. Through discussions and our various meetings, we decided to collaborate with this local company, to promote French know-how and develop together a customised solution for our warehouse. Already equipped with AGVs, we wanted to make our processes more fluid by turning to fully autonomous AMRs.”

Effidence’s 100% French technology has won over the group, with the proposal of a module with a 360° gripping system on the EffiBOT autonomous mobile robot.

Florian, sales engineer at Effidence: “We are proud to work with our partner Daimay and to have come up with this innovative and customized solution: the 3D-CartGRIP. As a result of our collaboration and exchanges, this module perfectly meets the needs of our customer; to grip a trolley and transport it safely through his warehouse.”

The 3D-CartGRIP stands out thanks to its Smart 3D-FootPrint technology. This guarantees the exact grip of the corresponding trolley, ensured by a unique footprint on the gripping plate. This technology also ensures that the trolley is securely held in place during its movements with a 3D hold (lateral, horizontal and vertical).

Today, a fleet of ten EffiBOTs equipped with their 3D-CartGRIP module is deployed at Daimay.

A close and dedicated support

Through the pioneer and leader in robotics in Auvergne, Daimay has also found a reliable partner on whom it can rely to install and adapt the solution in its company.

The industrialization manager at Daimay: “Effidence teams are really present from A to Z to support us in the implementation of the robot fleet. It starts with the commercial contact, to  understand the particularity of our process, our needs and our specifications. The design and technical part of the team then takes charge of adapting the robot to match our constraints. After delivery of our solution, we are trained in its installation and use. If necessary, the maintenance team is responsive to our requests and is available to answer our questions and help us.”
