Rokbak Strengthens Foundations with Terapro Construction in Canada
Expanding its footprint in North America, Scottish articulated hauler manufacturer Rokbak has joined forces with Terapro Construction to distribute its robust vehicles across Eastern Canada.
The new distribution agreement signals a fresh chapter in both companies’ ambitions to bring reliable, high-performance machinery to construction sites throughout Quebec and parts of Ontario, where demand for heavy-duty equipment is steadily rising.
With a network spanning 18 branches, Terapro is ideally positioned to provide Rokbak’s RA30 and RA40 articulated haulers to contractors throughout Eastern Canada. Having received its first RA30 in August, Terapro anticipates the arrival of the RA40 by late October 2024. By early 2025, Rokbak haulers are set to become a core element of Terapro’s product lineup, aligning with both companies’ long-term objectives to shape a more efficient, productive future in construction.
A Strategic Alliance for Rokbak
Already a seasoned equipment dealer, Terapro brings years of experience in providing construction solutions tailored to meet a variety of project demands. The introduction of Rokbak articulated dump trucks (ADTs) into Terapro’s portfolio allows the dealer to complete its offering with top-tier hauling equipment – a crucial addition for its construction-focused clientele.
President of Terapro, Daniel Riendeau, expressed his enthusiasm, noting: “We are delighted to join forces with Rokbak. This distribution agreement is a testament to our shared commitment to excellence. By leveraging our combined expertise, we will drive transformative change and deliver cutting-edge solutions to our clients. We are confident that this alliance will pave the way for a brighter, more successful future.”
North America holds immense importance for Rokbak, both financially and geographically, and this alliance underscores the company’s commitment to expanding its reach in this strategic market. Terapro’s expertise in understanding customer needs aligns with Rokbak’s values, ensuring that clients in Canada receive dependable support and well-suited solutions for their unique challenges.
RA30 and RA40 Performance
Rokbak’s RA30 and RA40 ADTs are renowned for their durability, reliability, and ease of maintenance – qualities essential in Canada’s demanding construction landscapes. Designed to handle large-scale quarry, mining, and construction tasks, the 38-tonne RA40 stands out as a powerhouse, while the 28-tonne RA30 excels on challenging sites, such as quarries and infrastructure projects. Both models promise exceptional capacity and efficiency, delivering productivity that is as economical as it is powerful.
For Terapro, the addition of these ADTs completes a comprehensive portfolio, allowing the dealer to offer a full suite of machinery to meet diverse project requirements. The decision to partner with Rokbak reflects a mutual understanding of the value these high-performance machines can bring to clients across various sectors.
“The name and the look of the hauler turned a few heads,” stated Steve Lalonde, Vice-President of Business Development at Terapro. “We expect to see these Rokbak trucks with general contractors, which is our focus area. We believe having these products in our portfolio is going to help us retain key customers and add new ones.”
Building Customer Relationships
At the heart of Terapro’s strategy is its dedication to customer service. This partnership goes beyond mere product distribution, with Terapro’s team of specialists set to offer expertise and guidance to clients across Eastern Canada. Terapro’s branches throughout Quebec and parts of Ontario are well-prepared to provide tailored, high-quality service that meets each customer’s specific needs.
To ensure a smooth integration, Rokbak has provided Terapro with extensive sales and technical training, alongside ongoing support from a dedicated Rokbak service manager based in Ottawa. This setup guarantees that customers receive expert advice and prompt assistance whenever needed, further enhancing Rokbak’s presence in Canada.
“Rokbak wants to work with dealers who share our goals and who want to build constructive partnerships,” remarked Gregory Gerbus, Rokbak Regional Sales Manager. “Terapro certainly fits that remit. Rokbak has always been a face-to-face company, and Terapro will help make even more customers in Canada aware of who we are and what exactly we can provide them.”
A Positive Reception in Quebec
Since partnering, Terapro has actively promoted Rokbak’s vehicles at prominent industry events in Quebec, including Expo Pelle and Demo International. The response has been overwhelmingly positive, with the RA30 generating considerable interest among attendees. The unique design and reliability of Rokbak trucks made a strong impression, sparking curiosity and setting the stage for further growth.
With these first introductions, Terapro and Rokbak are well on their way to building a recognised brand presence across Canada. The visibility gained from such events not only boosts brand awareness but also strengthens Terapro’s position as a comprehensive provider of construction machinery.
A Vision for the Future
The partnership between Rokbak and Terapro marks a new era in construction equipment distribution across Eastern Canada. By blending Terapro’s local knowledge and service capabilities with Rokbak’s state-of-the-art haulers, this alliance creates a robust framework for future growth and success.
Together, they aim to address the evolving needs of Canada’s construction industry, delivering reliable, efficient equipment tailored to the challenges of modern projects.
Rokbak’s decision to partner with a reputable dealer like Terapro signals its intention to firmly establish itself within the Canadian market. For both companies, this collaboration represents not only a commercial success but also a shared vision of driving progress through quality equipment and exceptional service.
