From 2–5 September 2026, steinexpo returns to the active basalt quarry at Homberg/Nieder-Ofleiden in Germany, providing one of the most authentic demonstrations of heavy equipment and mineral processing technology anywhere in the world.

Rather than displaying machinery on static exhibition stands, Europe’s largest quarry demonstration show allows manufacturers to showcase excavators, wheel loaders, crushing and screening plants, conveying systems, drilling equipment and quarry technology in demanding real-world operating conditions. The event brings together the raw materials, aggregates and construction industries with equipment manufacturers, technology providers and service specialists for four days of live demonstrations, technical discussions and business networking.

The previous edition attracted more than 61,500 industry visitors, with over 90% attending as trade professionals and more than one-fifth travelling from outside Germany, underlining steinexpo’s growing international influence.

Spread across more than 185,000 square metres of exhibition space within a working quarry, the event offers a rare opportunity to evaluate machinery where it is designed to perform, helping quarry operators, contractors and infrastructure businesses compare equipment under genuine production conditions.

For professionals involved in aggregates, mining, construction materials and heavy equipment procurement, steinexpo remains one of Europe’s most valuable events for seeing innovation put to work rather than simply displayed.
