Galliford Try Highways achieves Leaders in Diversity accreditation
Galliford Try Highways has achieved the Leaders in Diversity accreditation for its commitment to equality and diversity in the workplace.
The award, made by the National Centre for Diversity, recognises exemplary standards in areas of Fairness, Respect, Equality, Diversity, Inclusion and Engagement (FREDIE, for short).
Duncan Elliott, Managing Director of Galliford Try Highways, said: “We’re delighted to achieve Leaders in Diversity and gain recognition for all the great work we have done in this area. We will continue to be committed to FREDIE growth. This is only the beginning of the journey for us.”
“FREDIE is about creating inclusive cultures, inspiring workplaces and diversifying our skills. Moral, legal and financial reasons are sufficient cause to get behind our plans but, more importantly, it’s the right thing to do. Data also shows that more diverse companies are better places to work and more successful.”
He added: “We should all feel very proud of this award. It’s a huge achievement in a very short timeframe which is down to everyone’s tremendous enthusiasm and commitment.”
Solat Chaudhry, Chief Executive of the NCfD, said: “The Leaders in Diversity journey and achievement of the standard gives a positive message to all the stakeholders, internal and external, and each person should be congratulated for their input and success of the organisation.”
The accreditation takes immediate affect and remains valid for two years.
