GHH wins Best Performing Business Partner Award in India
GHH India, with its mining contracting company GHH BUMI Mining Service, has received the Best Performing Business Partner Award.
In a Covid pandemic driven online event, GHH India, with its mining contracting subsidiary, GHH Bumi Mining Service, was awarded Best Performing Business Partner by Vedanta Group/Hindustan Zinc Ltd (HZL) in the presence of Founder & Executive Chairman Mr. Anil Agarwal, Vedanta Resources Limited, Mr. Sunil Duggal, Vedanta Group CEO & Mr. Arun Misra, CEO, Hindustan Zinc Limited along with their other Executive team.
The award winner was chosen out of all business partners and was given in recognition for a job well done. Over the last 6 months, GHH Bumi has been doing contract mining at Zawar Mala mine, and has been presented the award based on excellent performance involving all mining contract activities like safety, production, asset optimization.
GHH BUMI Mining Service was established late last year. Since January 2021, GHH BUMI has been responsible for production and mine development with more than 350 employees at the Zawar Mala mine. For this purpose, the company has access to more than 20 load haul dumpers (LHDs), dump trucks and drilling rigs from the GHH Group.
Dr. Jan Petzold, CEO of GHH Group was very pleased to receive the award from HZL: “With this award, we as GHH Group see ourselves confirmed in our efforts as a reliable business partner for HZL. A cooperation that started almost 4 years ago with the supply of mining machinery and has resulted in being awarded as Mining Contractor and OEM. This is a special incentive to be able to conclude the second MDO contract with HZL, which is currently in preparation.”
In the ceremony Dr. Petzold thanked his team involved, Henry Landman, GM of GHH Bumi and Rajeshwar Singh, MD of GHH India, for their hard work and efforts in achieving this award, which they will certainly look forward to celebrating with the team on the ground.
The latest generation of GHH mining equipment, with its new dump truck MK-42, LHDs LF-14 and LF-10 as well as two boom drill rigs FM 2.3 from GHH group company Mine Master are on its way to India and are expected to be on site beginning of August.
GHH Bumi is also currently working on preparing for the expansion Mochia Balaria Decline Project, where a rapid development proposal is under way.
