Alabama Motor Express opens Logistics Terminal in Georgia
Alabama Motor Express (AMX), a successful, family-owned trucking and logistics company, announced the opening of its new terminal in Jackson, Georgia.
The new location brings AMX closer to key customers and extends its footprint in one of the nation’s largest distribution hubs.
“We’re always striving for new ways to better serve our customers,” said Jared Moore, AMX Vice President of Traffic and Logistics. “The new terminal gives our customers in the greater Atlanta area faster, more responsive access to a readily available trailer pool, local drivers and strategic support.”
The terminal is located about forty miles south of Atlanta. Its trailer pool will include about 60 tractors and even more trailers in a secure, highly monitored yard. The company seeks to fully staff the terminal with more than 50 logistics and operations professionals, as well as seasoned, certified drivers. The team will be supported by a growing parent company with logistics offices and terminals throughout Georgia and Alabama. AMX expects that with more drivers with more knowledge and insight about the region, the company can improve service levels while offering drivers more flexibility to balance work and home.
