viAct announces strategic partnership with Innocom in Singapore
viAct and Innocom Technologies Pte Ltd., have entered into a strategic partnership to meet the ever increasing demand in Singapore Construction Industry for solutions to improve safety and productivity and in turn make the sector more sustainable.
Although Singapore has made considerable progress in making workplaces safer over the past few years; there are still concerns over the number of workplace fatalities taking place across different industries. In a recent article published by the Ministry of Manpower (MOM), the total number of workplace fatalities (from 1st January 2022 to 6th May 2022) accounted for 20.
It is in response to such jobsite fatalities, that viAct and Innocom decided to collaborate to adopt Artificial Intelligence (AI) and state-the-art technologies to reduce accident rates and improve sustainability for the city.
With this partnership, Innocom becomes viAct’s exclusive distribution partner in Singapore and Malaysia. Innocom is the only Autodesk Platinum Partner in the SEA region, while, viAct is the first AI monitoring partner of Autodesk in Asia with the integration of Autodesk Forge and BIM360.
“Thanks viAct for the opportunity to work together to create a safer and environmentally-friendly world for the construction industry. Every life is to be cherished and with the new technology providing better monitoring on construction sites, everyone stands to benefit,” said Mr. Yap, Managing Director, Innocom Technologies Pte Ltd. at the virtual agreement signing ceremony.
On a similar note, Mr. Gary Ng, CEO & Co-Founder viAct said: “viAct & Innocom can make the Singapore Construction industry safer, productive and sustainable workplaces by adopting AI technology which is exclusively designed for supporting construction jobsites with maximum ease.”
viAct’s AI applications and software solutions in Singapore will run on Singtel Paragon, the industry’s first all-in-one platform for 5G and MEC and services orchestration.
With Paragon, enterprises will be able to activate network slices on demand on Singtel’s 5G network and deploy various viAct applications on Singtel’s MEC. This enables them to get real-time situational awareness at worksites and help prevent accidents or respond to incidents promptly.
