Malaysia and Singapore have signed an agreement that paves the way for bidding for an international High-Speed rail line between Malaysia’s capital city Kuala Lumpur and Singapore.
The 350km High Speed Rail line will have eight stations, will include a bridge across the Straits of Johor, and will cut the travel time between the two cities to just 90 minutes.
Construction of the High Speed Rail will include a standard gauge double-track, powered with proven high-speed technologies.
The project investment estimate is US$11Billion, and expected to commence in 2017 and be complete by 2022.
