Inmotion Technologies Unveils Ground-breaking Power Electronics at iVT Expo Cologne
At the iVT Expo in Cologne, Inmotion Technologies, a part of the ZAPI GROUP, is setting the stage for a new era of emission-free transportation solutions. The company is showcasing two innovative products, the DCC3 converter and the ACH3 inverter, designed to transform the future of electrification in off-highway and utility vehicles.
Inmotion Technologies’ Vision for the Future of Transport
Inmotion Technologies has long been a leader in the power electronics sector, supplying crucial components for emission-free transport solutions. The company’s commitment to sustainability and performance is clear in its latest product launches at the iVT Expo, where it is demonstrating the advanced capabilities of its DCC3 converter and the new third-generation ACH3 inverter.
“We are thrilled to present our latest innovations at the iVT Expo, highlighting Inmotion’s dedication to delivering effective, reliable, and sustainable solutions for the electrification industry. These launches mark a new chapter in performance and innovation,” says Martin Wennerblom, Product and Marketing Director at Inmotion Technologies.
With a reputation for producing high-quality, emission-free power systems, Inmotion Technologies continues to push boundaries in the electrification of commercial and industrial vehicles. The DCC3 converter and ACH3 inverter are key examples of the company’s ability to blend cutting-edge technology with real-world functionality.

The DCC3 Converter
One of the standout innovations, the DCC3 converter, is designed for flexibility and rugged durability. This new DC/DC converter is built to cater to a wide array of construction applications, supporting auxiliary systems in electric or hybrid industrial and commercial vehicles. Inmotion’s converters have already earned a reputation for reliability across a range of vehicles, and the DCC3 takes that reputation a step further.
The DCC3 converter is engineered to convert input voltages ranging from 250V to 900V into stable, adjustable 12V or 24V outputs, providing up to 10 kW of power for auxiliary systems. This makes it ideal for use in electric or hybrid vehicles operating in tough environments. Inmotion has incorporated native cybersecurity within the design, ensuring that the converter is secure, even in the most demanding conditions.
The DCC3 converter is available for prototyping now, with serial production set to begin by the end of 2025. This product is expected to become a vital component for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) seeking reliable, efficient power conversion solutions.

ACH3 Inverters
Another major highlight of Inmotion Technologies’ offering at the iVT Expo is the ACH3 inverter, which represents the company’s third generation of high-voltage inverters. The ACH3 is designed to convert direct current (DC) from a vehicle’s battery into alternating current (AC) to power its motor, playing a crucial role in vehicle electrification.
The ACH3 inverter promises a breakthrough in efficiency, with a peak efficiency rating of 99%. This high level of performance is vital for pushing the boundaries of what is possible in vehicle electrification. The ACH3 supports current ratings ranging from 30 to over 600 amperes and can handle up to 900V bus voltage, delivering full power when needed.
“Historically, inverter power output and efficiency have limited vehicle electrification. The ACH3 addresses these issues. It has a 99% peak efficiency, current ratings from 30 to more than 600 amperes, and up to 900-volt bus voltage with full power,” says Wennerblom.
The ACH3 inverter is designed with sustainability in mind. It ensures a minimal environmental impact throughout its production, operational life, and eventual end-of-life disposal. Its expected lifespan of 72,000 working hours further adds to its appeal for those seeking long-term, efficient solutions. The components for the ACH3 are sourced from Europe, and all units are assembled in Sweden, guaranteeing top-tier quality control.
Beyond raw power, the ACH3 offers significant flexibility. Customers can customise the inverter’s intelligent control software, which integrates functional safety and cybersecurity by design. This adaptability makes it an ideal choice for a wide range of vehicle types, from electric buses to hybrid construction machinery.
A Comprehensive Portfolio for the Electrification Industry
Inmotion Technologies is not stopping at the DCC3 and ACH3. At the iVT Expo, the company is also showcasing an extensive range of other innovations aimed at powering the next generation of emission-free vehicles.
These include high-power on-board and off-board battery chargers, electric motors, electric Power Take-Off (ePTO) solutions, and fleet management technologies, all designed for the construction and industrial vehicle sectors.
As the world moves toward sustainable transportation, Inmotion Technologies continues to be a driving force in the electrification of the off-highway and utility vehicle markets. The company’s products are designed to meet the rigorous demands of these sectors while reducing the environmental impact of traditional power systems.
A Glimpse Into the Future of Emission-Free Transport
With the unveiling of the DCC3 converter and ACH3 inverter, Inmotion Technologies is solidifying its position as a leader in the electrification of industrial and commercial vehicles. The company’s focus on efficiency, flexibility, and sustainability is reshaping the future of transport, particularly in the off-highway and utility vehicle sectors.
These new products represent just the beginning of what’s to come. As Inmotion Technologies continues to innovate, its solutions are set to play an integral role in the global shift towards emission-free transport.
For OEMs and fleet operators looking to embrace the future of electrification, the DCC3 and ACH3 offer powerful, efficient, and secure solutions for a sustainable tomorrow.
