SITECH opens new Trimble technology training facility in Staffordshire

Trimble® connected construction specialist SITECH UK & Ireland has opened its new construction training facility in Norton Canes, Staffordshire.

The training facility provides construction professionals with access to necessary training and is tailored to field technicians, project managers and site engineers. It provides comprehensive courses on a wide range of Trimble products, including its machine control platforms and site positioning and construction software.

The training facility offers classroom-based software courses and has a simulator for on-machine training which allows the operator to experience what it is like sitting inside a cab, without the risk of equipment damage or encountering safety issues that can be found onsite.

The training will be carried out by SITECH’s trainers, as well as trainers from Trimble, who all have many years of hands-on field experience and extensive training expertise.

The site is currently accepting students and, once all social restrictions are lifted, the class sizes will increase to eight people. The site will also be used to train and refresh office stakeholders, such as SITECH’s internal teams and partners, so they can continue to provide the best quality service for customers and adapt to any new technology from Trimble.

“We want construction professionals to get the most from their technology investments and gain access to the necessary training, so we invested in creating a dedicated training area” explained Ian Barnes, Head of Business at SITECH UK & Ireland. “We want to provide a one-stop-shop package for our customers, so they can learn from some of the greatest minds in the business and invest in quality technology.”

The construction of the facility also included a larger workshop, office space and warehouse. The new office has improved the general working conditions of our staff and the larger storage areas allows us to improve our off-the-shelf availability of certain products.
