Infopro Digital Automotive Builds a Data Platform for the Global Aftermarket
Infopro Digital Automotive will arrive at Automechanika Frankfurt in September with a considerably broader business than it took to previous editions. Acquisitions including Eucon, GiPA and Aurelis have added to an existing portfolio covering workshop information, parts, tyres, lubricants and market intelligence, giving the company a data footprint extending across much of the automotive aftermarket.
Rather than presenting these businesses as separate additions to the portfolio, Infopro Digital Automotive is now positioning the combined operation around the data itself and the applications that can be built upon it. Artificial intelligence is becoming part of that strategy, providing new ways of accessing information that has traditionally been distributed through catalogues, specialist databases and individual software platforms.
AI can make complex databases considerably easier to interrogate, but the usefulness of the answer remains dependent on the information underneath. Infopro’s proposition at Automechanika is therefore built on a substantially enlarged collection of structured automotive data, with AI and APIs providing additional ways for customers and software systems to use it.

Building the Data Portfolio
Infopro Digital Automotive already contained some familiar names in automotive information before the latest round of expansion. HaynesPro supplies vehicle repair and maintenance information, DriveRightData specialises in tyre and wheel fitment data, OATS covers lubricants, while the wider portfolio includes workshop and aftermarket software businesses operating in several countries.
The acquisition of Eucon in September 2025 added another dimension. Eucon brought pricing intelligence and market data developed across major international automotive markets, along with more than 250 employees across Germany, Europe, North America and Asia-Pacific. Automotive information has to remain accurate while vehicle variants, components, repair procedures, specifications and prices continually change. Increasing the number of datasets therefore increases both the potential value of the platform and the complexity involved in maintaining it.
AI as an Interface to Automotive Data
Infopro’s AI Data Switch provides a clearer indication of where the company believes this infrastructure can lead. The system allows users to pose natural-language questions and receive answers grounded in the company’s automotive databases. Repair information, parts identification, inventory, estimating, ordering and workshop management can all sit within the same workflow. The broader portfolio extends well beyond technical repair information. OnePro SHOP is Infopro Digital Automotive’s new-generation electronic catalogue for parts, tyre and lubricant distributors. Electronic cataloguing is a critical layer in aftermarket commerce because a transaction depends on correctly matching a component to the vehicle before price, stock and delivery become relevant.
Elsewhere, the Market Data Engine provides information intended for parts manufacturers working on portfolio management, pricing and market opportunities. Parts identification becomes progressively more difficult as vehicles age. Production ends, original components disappear from normal distribution, manufacturers change ownership, part numbers are superseded and aftermarket alternatives vary between countries. Data capable of connecting vehicles with surviving or alternative components acquires value as conventional supply chains become less complete.
The modern aftermarket has to manage enormous numbers of vehicles, specifications and component combinations. The classic market presents a different problem, with fragmented information and increasingly irregular component availability. Both depend heavily on reliable identification and cross-referencing.

Automechanika Frankfurt provides an appropriate setting for Infopro Digital Automotive to present the consolidated business. The 2026 exhibition runs from 8 to 12 September and is expected to attract more than 4,400 exhibitors from over 80 countries. Artificial intelligence, digitalisation, connected vehicles and software-defined vehicles feature prominently in this year’s programme.
