AxiBuild launches AssetTag for snagging, inspection and asset management
AxiBuild has released the AssetTag app in the UK for Android, iOS, and Web, that uses cloud technology to make team collaboration incredibly effective and very responsive.
AxiBuild synchronizes snagging between multiple devices in real-time, and thanks to the cloud, users will not lose data even if their device malfunctions. AxiBuild has chosen to use Google Cloud for its versatility in supporting mobile applications, performance, security, and reliability.
Due to the cutting-edge software toolset used, AssetTag has a consistent set of features across Android, iOS, and Web – something that most of the competitors lack.
Floor plans and elevations can be seamlessly imported into projects and used in snagging; every floor plan can have multiple elevations under it, creating an efficient hierarchy for their localization. The main contractor can categorize snags by sub-contractors and set individual deadlines. AssetTag allows adding multiple photos to every snag.
Also, comment threads, in the form of internet forums, are in built and a comment can be accompanied by its own photo; these two features facilitate elaborate communication on work quality between the main- and sub-contractors. AssetTag makes use of cutting-edge AI powered features, such as voice to text enabling fast user input. This enables snagging practically in 10s of languages supported by Google and Apple. Automated image and issue recognition, based on deep neural networks, will be available starting from early 2022.
AssetTag offers main contractors a good control over their users, allowing active management over internal and external personnel. QR codes are used for adding members and subcontractors to companies and projects. The app uses an extensive set of notifications facilitating effective administration of members and project progress monitoring. The app generates an elaborate report with snagging statistics and snag overviews, also streamlined according to sub-contractors or snag categories. The report also contains elaborate cards for individual snags.
Magrock Ltd, a well-established main contractor within the UK construction sector, has extensively tested the app. The testing included the actual snagging of a warehouse and a carpark, nearing its completion, by a multi-member team of Magrock and sub-contractors. Magrock’s collaboration and extensive feedback resulted in several improvements to the app, making it very robust in turn.
AssetTag comes in a variety of subscriptions that range from 1,000 snags (within AssetTag a snag is known as a tag) per year to 20,000 tags per annum and upwards. For very small teams, the app costs as little as £75 per annum. If a main contractor runs into difficulties with annual tag limits, there are also several top-up options to extend the caps. Subscription plans allow adding up to 100 internal members and an unlimited number of subcontractors, which is very generous when compared to what competitors offer.
AssetTag is currently available with a discount of 20% for the first year.
